  2. That's what I meant by iii) I never did last time out. This time, I might be persuaded to upgrade to OLED mid-gen, but probably not.
  3. 4) They want to double dip with the diehard fans who will buy it twice.
  4. Getting it for Duskbloods, and I have an OG switch, so won't notice a "downgrade" from OLED. Absolutely nuts that they have not launched with OLED, but I guess it is due to either i) it would push the price up another $50-$100; ii) There are supply chain issues with OLED screens; and/or iii) they want to sell LCD screens, and then more OLEDs when they drop.
  5. Onimusha Warlords With the remaster of Onimusha 2 finally coming out this week, I figured I'd give the original a replay since it's really short. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered but I realized that was dumb pretty much as soon as I started the game. This is a really fun take on the classic RE style of gameplay. It has a few flaws but overall it's still very enjoyable. I'm not sure why I was worried in the first place because I played it for the first time in 2019 when the remaster came out. So, it was already as dated as it's going to get then lol. At the time, I was super bummed out that they didn't seem like they were going to remaster the sequels, so I'm really excited to finally play the second game. Hopefully they'll keep the momentum going this time and will at least remaster Onimusha 3 as well before the new one comes out next year.

  7. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 This game is so goddamned good. It's cliche but I laughed, I cried, I went on a journey with these characters and I love them. I also love the combat from beginning to end, parrying feels so good, and it's so satisfying to see the end battle screen where you took 0 damage because you parried everything. The story is compelling, the world is interesting, everything about it is about as near perfect as you could ever ask. I have some issues with the ending, not so much what actually happens as the way it's presented, but they're not serious enough to mar the wonderful 60 hours I had up to that point. Grade: A+
