  2. Donkey Kong Bananza Holy crap, this game is fantastic! Just rolled credits on the campaign, and while I still have to see what's going on in the post-game, the campaign was meaty enough that I feel like I've played enough to post my thoughts now. This isn't just the best Donkey Kong game yet, I actually enjoyed it more than Mario Odyssey. Punching your way through everything in sight is just insanely fun. Nintendo were really onto something with this one. I really hope they'll keep this formula going and make follow-ups that don't completely reinvent the wheel because I definitely want more of this. The bananza transformations are all fun to use and give you some variety in how you can approach things. Near the end of the game, there were some sections that made you use them all together and I really hope there's more of that in the post-game because that was great and the main campaign could've used more of that. The campaign overall is a ton of fun but the last section in particular had me grinning from ear to ear the entire time. I don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave it at that. The soundtrack is also great. The bananza themes in particular are so freaking catchy that I keep wanting to listen to them outside of the game. The only real issue I can come up with is how easy the game is throughout but the gameplay loop is so much fun that I never got bored by the lack of challenge. Besides, I'm sure that's what the post-game is for like with the last few Mario games. So yeah, whenever you guys get around to buying a Switch 2 make sure to get this one. It's a must-play.
  3. I needed a keychain. Eradicate all lost keys. Is it overpriced? Yeah but I'm going through it lately and I wanted a treat.
  4. God knows when I'll actually have enough time to get around to it though.

  8. I've been playing a newer mario RPG. and have finally finished Mario and Luigi: Brothership. When I first started I enjoyed it, and wondered about the middling reviews. I may have kept that opinion if it hadn't massively outstayed it's welcome. I was very ready for it to be over by about two thirds of the way through. Nothing was particularly bad, just very average and the writing isn't as good as it used to be to keep you interested.
  9. Wario Ware, Inc My only real exposure to mini-game collections came in the form of the wonderful (but underappreciated) Frobisher Says on the PSVita, but I'd heard good things about this one and it gave me an excuse to play on the RGV40XX. And yeah, this thing is great. To the point that I've got my eldest hooked on it, and I think we'll be investing in the Switch game (not sure which) soon.
  10. The OG game is on my to-play list on the retro handheld. Just need to find the time.
  11. Ooh let me know how it compares to the other Zachtronics games, I've had my eye on it.
  12. Got the new Zachtronics Coincidence game because of course I did. I'm a little bummed out that they didn't do a physical edition with all kinds of goodies like they used to but at this point I'm just grateful that this team got back together and is making games again. Also, SF6 is entering its third year, so naturally I've already gotten more value out of this game than any other game I've ever bought so I'm happy to keep throwing money at it until the heat death of the universe. I do need to get back into it, though. Sagat is coming out in just a few weeks and I still haven't tried Elena...
  13. Super Mario RPG Remake Finished it a couple nights ago. This is another one that does an excellent job of looking and playing exactly how I remember the original. It was really fun to revisit it but it's very much baby's first JRPG, so it didn't blow me away or anything. It was just a fun little game to unwind with for an hour or two before bed. The soundtrack is an all-timer. Not much else to say about it beyond that.
  14. I have felt this about a lot of games I've played but not articulated it. Thanks!
  15. I've got a little bit of range anxiety with the Bolt, but also Kansas is a lot more sparsely populated than the UK so stuff is farther apart.
  16. https://www.nexusmods.com/clairobscurexpedition33/mods/25 That's the link to the mod. I finished the game on XBOX last night, and this might actually force me to double-dip. If you end up going with this, let us know how it goes if possible?
  17. It's my second one now, had an ID4 before. I bloody love them. The whole "EV range anxiety" thing I'm convinced is only experienced by people who don't drive electric. Also, this thing is fucking rapid. Like my ID4 used to go pretty quick, but the upgraded motors on the new models, not only go way further, but sooooo much faster. I did a 150mile round trip at the weekend, it used to take around 70% of the battery in my ID4, now only takes 50%, and that's without me even trying to be economical.
  18. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 A videogame masterpiece. 5/5.
  19. Yeah if you know where you saw it, I'd pick it up again next time it's on sale!
  20. Nightreign is either the easiest or the hardest Soulsborne game to platinum lol. If you have friends who play and can consistently play with a proper team, or even if you can solo some bosses, it's one of the easiest, the one exception, depending on your playstyle, is defeating the last boss with every Nightfarer, some of them, like Recluse are really hard to play properly if you're used to the Unga Bunga playstyle. Playing with randoms can make this one of the hardest plats ever lol, from failed runs to people who ignore (or just don't know how they work) the shifting earth stuff, some bosses are also way harder with multiple people since it makes it super hard to keep track of their attacks. Thankfully you don't need to beat any of the Everdark bosses, those are a huge pain.
