First impression of Dark Souls isn't really something. Hope it picks up later, but whacking skeletons isn't really fun here.

It's not like Skyrim where there's significant story and environments to explore. No S-links to play with. No morality system (as such). It's main focus is the difficult, yet rewarding, combat.

Yea, I tried going somewhere else and I managed to murder the mobs in two hits... I do dislike the combat and take on difficulty. God Hand did a much better job at being enjoyably difficult.

If you're not into the combat then there's really no point in playing. And obviously, it starts out easy if you're going the right way.
