So, Far Cry 4 is the latest game to be added to the 'open world games which improve tenfold if you turn off the minimap' list

This was true of FC3. Why didn't you consider it for 4 until now?

I guess it never crossed my mind because, for a good while, I was enjoying it so much! After about 10-12 hours I started hitting Ubi-open-world-fatigue, and felt the need to mess with settings to mix it up. And it worked.
