I actually have that as part of my course. Some modules have a 10% online component which is meant to be a forum-esque discussion amongst students. You still have to reference but only in short form.

I missed the deadline for the last lot though, an easy 10% thrown away and I'll probably end up wasting my time doing the remainder anyway just in case.

Yeah upon reading that back I remembered that blog-assessment is pretty damn common these days- but I've never heard of forum assessment. That's really interesting.

I knew a girl in 1st year who got a 0 forher first ever Uni essay because she handed it in a week late. Our tutor, soundly enough, marked it for her anyway and gave it back. She would have gotten an 80 if she did the work early enough. Insane fail.

Yeh mine technically shouldn't get marked if I miss the deadline, but I'm gonna do the work on the off-chance. Some other courses only get a few marks knocked off for handing work in late though, and some people even get marks just for turning up to lectures and seminars. Why didn't I choose the easy science route.
