    Realised (again) that 'gamer' is often a derogatory term. I say we start calling people 'bookers', 'filmers', 'painter...ers' or 'musicers'.

      Haha I've only ever used 'games industry' to actually refer to the 'games industry'. Like the film industry, the music industry, the book industry... It's when you talk about the business, yo, not the art!

       

      I just say I 'play games' or 'appreciate games'. People don't usually argue with that.

      Oh, oh, you also have to say it in a really serious, mature tone of voice. Like its something sensible and profound that you've thought about. They never think twice about it.
