    I seem to have lost permission to 95% of my media/music files. Last time I fixed it rather easily but this time its not letting me use them.

      What Ethan said... also, time to back up! (unless you already have a better backup and can only do one at a time. I've lost data from backing up just before/as a drive failed.)
