McMillen just likes trolling Nintendo. That game was never going to be on their platforms.

@Duke - I don't think the personality behind the game has anything to do with the matter. The game doesn't fit Nintendo's brand image or their target demographic, that's all.

It was rejected on religious grounds nothing to do with hating indie. in fact I read about lots of indies like the way the eShop is set up.
