      This term can be used to mean precisely anything that is downloaded. Downloadable game? That's a form of DLC now.

       

      Fucking hate that term.

      Yes, but anyone who uses it to mean anything other than official, digitally distributed add-ons to stand-alone games is retarded.

      What Ethan said. In fact go on Steam and enable then disable "Show Downloadable Content" n see what turns off.

      A game that's downloaded is digitally distributed. And fan made content is a mod.
