  1. I've seen and read of people using it, but trying to set it up myself is complicated as frick.
  2. Crashing? That doesn't sound good. Did you pick up the high-res texture pack yet, Brain?
  3. From what it indicated in the video, only the skins/weapon skins/weapon effects were changed. The map is most likely indeed server-side.
  4. Freaking EA's Windows installer: "GATHERING REQUIRED INFORMATION" for the past half hour now. I call bullshit.

  5. Right, so... multiply this... carry the one... subtract here. I've calculated the time for me to properly finish this game: NEVER. (I'm a crybaby with horror games. granted, I've beaten my fair share, doesn't mean I like them)
  6. Hey, you know, about that one part in Mass Effect-- Wait a minute, this isn't the Mass Effect thread. Nice try. I'll be picking up DA2 this weekend when I have to go home to do laundry (the Best Buy is across the street).
  7. Since it was buried on the bottom of the last page without being read. ಠ_ಠ
  8. Some new concept art: New Mass Effect 3 Concept Art *looks at top left of first picture* Guess the Normandy got another upgrade.
  9. So, uh, mind asking me how you learned to draw, Pirate? I've tried many (many, many, many, many... many, many, many) times, but I just can't seem to do it. I know practice makes perfect, but when all you keep making is crap, you only get good at making crap. =\ What I try to do (in order): 1. Sketch - I already failed at this part, I can't even draw people right. My experiences with with drawing landscapes and backgrounds is laughable at best. 2. Detail - Even worse, it's only my second-worst compared to... 3. Shading - This literally makes me want to pull my hair out because I can never understand how artists get such perfect lighting details on their works (things like clothing shadows are the ones that really tick me off). Coloring - The Forbidden Zone, since I've never gotten far enough to actually do it.
  10. As far as I can remember... probably Neverwinter Nights 2. It worked well enough for what it did. It's DnD, so it's pretty cookie-cutter. None that I can think of, really. The one where you have it pretty cut out to you in black/white (he dies/she dies, pick which one you want to save) and you aren't allowed to pull the impossible and save the shit out of everyone's ass. I want to have more than just two choices or two outcomes to everything I do. It certainly will makes the game more complicated, but I'm used to my moral-goody-two-shoes being able to do just about everything that is considered impossible, which to him, is just "improbable". Karma is karma. What changes are needed for it? Other than that, the game could always go Witcher-style and make the choices morally ambiguous.
  11. One of the more... atmospheric... levels in the Thief series:

Rumor has it that Gabe's account has a fully working version of Episode 3 on it. Another rumor says that accessing his account will suck the soul out of you because you'll have to bargain with the devil to play it. And yet another rumor says that in accessing his account, you'll be sucked into a hellworld full of monsters and a working copy of Episode 3 sits at the top of a mountain of skulls with rivers of blood around it. Many have tried; none have succeeded. Some poor souls have even gone missing in their endeavors. God rest their souls.
  14. I played CS for 8 years. It's like a second language to me. I guess I really do need to get laid.
  15. Wisconsin. Oh, now it got replaced by BBC's Human Planet. Great stuff, that.
  16. I'm having trouble seeing how the title of this thread is relevant to the content of your post (which, from what I can read, is about emotional potential of a game with guns and killing in it).
  17. Thanks for the link, GOH! Last I heard, most of the DLC content from the original game, if completed, would have an effect in the story of DA2.
  18. I want to shake hands with Jeremy Soule. And maybe watch him compose a song or two.

  19. I forgot, were there any pre-order bonuses?
  20. Listening to the exploration soundtrack from Oblivion mellows out your mood pretty damn well. Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJugTtU0oEU

  21. Is it possible to upgrade to Windows 7 while keeping all the data and stuff from my XP intact? I'd rather not have to go through grabbing everything all over again.

It depends. When I upgraded my parents' PC, only a few crappy programs didn't transfer over. The Win 7 upgrade pack comes with both 32 and 64 bit.

Still, even the setup tells you to backup just in case.

Put in the Windows 7 disc. Click upgrade from previous windows version. Profit.

Upgrading always has issues... i'd just put everything onto a different partition or an external HDD.

  22. Obviously, they want to give players the option to let Hawke live up the legend he was made out to be ingame. Also, this: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/exclusive-exiled-dragon-age/711040 DLC announced before it's even released, and only for a paltry SEVEN dollars!
  23. The game works for me. Surprisingly, games that indicate 100+ ping only have mid-40s/low-50s for me. The game is pretty swell. I'm actually damn kickass (top 1 on the leaderboards, woop!). I was kind of surprised to see that sprinting required suit energy, as well as finding out that the suit's powers were permanently toggled as opposed to automatic deactivation in the original. Stealth wasn't as overpowered as I thought it would have been. For me, there is easily a very noticeable blur in seeing enemy stealth movement. I've gotten a medal or two for killing them while they're stealthed because it's just wayyyyy too noticeable for me. I even managed to pull off a stealth knife kill! It's not fantastically awesome, but what it brings to the table is definitely fun enough.
  24. Haha, it's so ludicrous that it just makes sense. Machineguns and magic.
  25. I heard there was a yandere Ayase ending.
