      My family tradition is to get the tree on the day after Thanksgiving...and lights up around that time as well.

      This year, I'm going full LED lights. Lowes's has 100 ft strands for about $22.

      Yeah, my wife and I got a bunch of LED lights a couple years ago when we first moved into our house.

       

      We have a fake tree. It's kinda sad, but it's a pretty convincing one and it's so much less of a hassle. Also it has lights built into it so they're really evenly spread out and look nice.
