      But timed alongside a letting a bunch of banned consoles back online is kinda showing why they banned em in the first place.

      There's been more info released on that: the consoles were only "unbanned" for like half an hour, and during that time though they could connect to XBL they couldn't get anything from the marketplace, download game updates, or play online. Then they were rebanned.
