That's EA for you. If I fire up NFS: Undercover on my phone, there's an EA logo button and if I press it, it shows me 15 other games they make - including Sims 3. If I don't press it, it doesn't interfere with popups or anything though.

@TME yeah check out shows like HIMYM basically adverts on TV screens in the show, certain poster spaces etc - they're paid for advertising spots and companies pay a decent amount of money to get those ad spots. It's there in a fair few shows today.

@Dean. It's incredibly shady but what I was saying is that I'm aware of it way too much. Back then when I was in advertising and financing I had a team whose main job was to look for spots where they could advertise other products (Even in commercials of existing products). It's not unusual at all. What I meant was, I've seen far too much shit in the world of advertising that nothing phases me anymore
