I demand satisfaction! Nobody slanders Tales of Symphonia and gets away with it when I'm around! I usually stay as far away from JRPG's as much as I can, but for reasons that honestly I can't even remember, somehow, I ended up playing it. I loved every minute, definitely one of my top 5 games. Now then Viper:

Prepare yourself.
I think you mis-read me ... I ADORE Tales of Symphonia. I played it through over 10 times, did every single side quest/skit/got all the costumes and titles, did a run purely to try out the affection system ... that game is amazing.
Just sayin' the actual plot points aren't the most original
Or do you mean my second paragraph? I should've said, I mean that about most OTHER jRPGs. Sorry.
Haha, I'm just joking around with you Viper, I understand. ToS did have a few plot holes, but for me it was always the one JRPG that really captured the essence of what good JRPG's are about. I guess it could have been cliché, but in my defense I probably haven't played enough other JRPG's to have a good point of reference.
I do, however, fully agree with your second paragraph. In fact, that's really the reason I stay away from most JRPG's. Even ToS had that factor in it, and was one of the very few faults I found in the game.
