    I feel like I'm rolling the dice again with my pre-order of LA Noire, but I feel good about this one, for some odd reason.

      dude, consider investing in Gamefly. I'll be getting it a day later than everyone else, but if it sucks or simply isn't worth full price, then I'm okay. If I love it, I can buy it later when it's cheaper.

      Is Gamefly that good with new releases now? Back when I had it I would have to wait weeks for new releases.

      It depends on how close the nearest shipping facility, but more importantly on how you handle your queue. You have to make sure you send whatever you have at home back in time for the new release's shipping date, don't have any other currently released games in your queue, and make sure the new release has been listed in your queue for a while. It's a flawed system, but master it and you'll get that new release every time.
