My mum hasn't read it (she's not a book fan anyway n prefers biographies. Gok Wan atm) but was laughing her head off at this https://twitter.com/50ShadesOfShit. It is selling rather unusually. Oh n this morning had two people on disputing it's BDSM, safe or not n all that.

I really don't understand the hate. It's like people who attack "genre fiction" for being genre fiction.
It's a poorly written erotic book(most are) that happened to sell unusually well.
Next to Aristotle's The Categories Charles Dickens' serials looked like shit.

It's just the usual screaming at a wall. There are so many good books out there and it makes me sad to think that many peoples' first and possibly last reading experience will be something that is of an objectively lower quality.
