  1. Tetris on the Gameboy. I think that game was as close to perfect as you can get. Games are too complicated now to get that close.
  2. I actually love the style of the concept art. If they'd made it cel-shaded like SSX:okami I would be completely stoked.
  3. Who's excited? I've loved every SSX game I've played, and I'm sure I'll love this too. It sounds like they've really improved the gameplay. The survival mode is a strong addition and I think toning down the tricks is a sensible move. My only concern is the art style. I know it is shallow but I enjoyed the bright colours of the earlier games and think it is sad that they felt they have had to take this move to have the game taken seriously. I know it will make me enjoy the game slighty less.
  4. Developer: EA Canada Publisher: EA Sports Website: Link Facebook: Link Creative Director: Todd Batty Release Date: early 2012 Platforms: probably PS3, xBox 360 Trailer: Gameplay: Deadly Descent: survive natural disasters to make it down the mountain alive: "We looked at survival and what that could add, things like wing suits, and ice climbing, and huge crevasses, and rock slides - pitting man against mountain.". Speed Descent: races. Tricky Descent: tricks! With over 200 tracks. Hands on Previews: Link A few things to note: Nine mountains are based on real locations from all over the world for the first time. Big change in artistic direction. "SSX: DD uses the 'rule of thirds': a third familiar content, a third improved on (via fan feedback etc) and a third is new." Concept Art:
  5. does anyone ever say you look like James Vanderbeek, or is it just that photo?
  6. See if you can get a recognisable tune out of it. There are some to try on the right.
  7. Putting July would make it less confusing still
  8. Single player action adventure games (Zelda, Assissin's Creed, Beyond Good & Evil) preferable more adventurey than actiony (i.e. not too much like a 3rd person shooter). Can I squeeze in point and clicks which are adventure games without the action? Since I didn't answer yesterday's question I'll give two answers today. My second choice is puzzle games which I love too much not to put in at all.
  9. The first episode of Back to the future is free at the moment if you don't already have it.
  10. get episode 1 of Back to the future free direct from telltale games.
  11. do you know if you can do a total phone transfer for CM7? I couldn't see it on their website. I found it a lot easier to do than the recovery method.
  12. oh, they've added my phone to cyanogenMod. yay! edit. having said that I'm quite happy with my Japanese Jellyfish 2.2. Especially the name
  13. I love that rule - I try not to leave the house before midday. April Fools is awful.
  14. It's coming to channel five on 10th April.
  15. 50% off all games in the Eidos Store.
  16. Hopefully enjoyable. At least it will be pretty.
  17. dean - try miserere by allegri. It's beautiful... and quiet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eh31j6L95Ok
  18. The Longest Journey is what I'm playing on my laptop at the moment - though I'm not particularly enjoying it so haven't played it in months. I have no idea what's going on in the screenshot.
  19. is it the same stargate where they go through those ring shaped portals? was the original film set in the future or an alternate present day?
  20. I hope it's good as I've never seen it and no one admitted to having seen it when I asked in the Layton thread! I think Luke looks really young in the picture - I don't remember him being that young in any of the games.
  21. I think it is a bit dodgy to get definitions of words from sci fi because they often make up words based on current real words, or use them differently to sound futuristic.
  22. The game, Marian, isn't actually out yet, but fingers crossed.
  23. I've had a look on there, but there are a lot of systems and a lot of games for each system. I guess that means I'm lazy! Google was useless - lots of dusturbing pictures of old war injuries for some reason. Oh well, though I still remember it from all those years ago it's not like it haunts my dreams.
  24. it was one of the computery type ones a maybe a commodore or a specturm or amstrad. I think it was an amstrad? Sorry, it was my cousin's. I think it was dark grey coloured? I'm sure that's helps(!)
  25. Ladyhawke. It was entirely unentertaining. I am always wary of eighties movies, but I at least thought it would be kitschy or so-bad-it's-good. Unfortunately it was just bad.
