  1. Hey guys, it's Festivale today, so if you only play occasionally make today that occasion. I'll put some more updates in later tonight after work - I know you can't wait!
  2. I don't have the patients to be a doctor.
  3. How come you're not playing them in order? I guess these aren't your first play throughs?
  4. yeah, it wouldn't load at all for me this morning. and I''m fairly sure it's not down to my own stupidity this time.
  5. Ah thanks!I still was on "Content I have not viewed." But somehow had selected' items I follow' and I don't follow any threads. Never quite saw the point in that. I guess maybe if it was a high traffic forum?

Is he talking about lobbyists? I'm always reading about them in american politics, but am I understanding that right? - they actually thought it was a bad idea when they were voting for it but because no one being paid to do so told them it was bad, they voted for it anyway?

The horrible law in Arizona has been vetoed by the Governor. Sounds like she may have personally approved of it but had to bow to pressure/logic: Interesting and short article on the subject. The video linked in it is worth watching too - it is absolutely cringe-inducing.
  9. I'd say Zelda and DK would be quicker to tick off your list, and more different from Fire Emblem so a bit of a palette cleanse before you delve into another in-depth game.
  10. Locations all the disney movies are set. I guess I never really thought about most of them but there is a reasonable spread. It seems less America-centric than I guess most studios would be.
  11. "continue where I left off", FTW.
  12. How's this for a dystopian image of the future? Someone in the company may be happy that the consoles are providing a presence for the company in your living room, but at some point investors arre going to want to see some hard cash out of it. You do have to wonder how long these big companies will continue to plough money into areas that aren't providing a good return, they certainly won't continue out of any sort of sentiment toward the gamers.
  13. I've treated myself to a fancy pants coffee machine*. It came in an absolutely a massive box so even though I'd checked the measurements I was a bit worried when I saw it that it wasn't going to fit - but I don't think it is too big for the space. The fruit isn't normally there either so it won't look so hemmed in. I've been wanting it for over a year and a coffee machine in general for even longer. For once my inability to commit to a decision paid off as it was a lot more than I wanted to pay for one but I didn't want a cheaper one that didn't do what I wanted, so I was in a stale mate but I ended up biting when I saw it for half it's original price, which was over £300 cheaper than I'd seen it anywhere else. However, the site I ordered it from went from saying out of stock to removing the page entirely so I was worried it was a price error and expected an email on Monday to say that my order had been cancelled. *Yes I know manual coffee machines make the best coffee, but I had one and it was hard to get consistent results, and you spend as long making and cleaning up that I didn't use it as often as I wanted. Other full auto systems had too many compromises for the amount they cost (don;t heat milk properly so your drink isn't hot and still needing some amount of cleanup after each drink being the main ones) . This one is pretty cool - it heat the milk in your cup so it's hotter than other auto systems and the cleans the wand itself so there in no cleanup at all.
  14. Just watched Compliance. Obviously it was uncomfortable to watch and makes you wonder what you'd do in that situation.
  15. that's really impressive. I used to love seeing what other people had come up with in the original LBP even more than the main game and I really appreciated it after I abandoned a mess of a roller coaster level I tried to make myself.
  16. here's the new Bayonetta 2 trailer: and the new monolith soft trailer - it's the first gameplay trailer which apparently has fighting similar to xenoblade chronicles http://youtu.be/WOrkdPR9Y6Y edit: what's wrong with my videos?...
  17. urg, all I did was press [F5] and it loaded fine.
  18. ah. Cool, I didn't want it to be Opera - I've been using it a while now and it's improved quite a lot since I last gave it a go and I don't want to ditch it again
  19. I can't load the forum from Opera Next. I get the message: Site Temporarily UnavailableWe apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this. error id: "bad_httpd_conf" seems to work fine in my other browsers
  20. [Picture of super Mario bros. Deluxe]* Forgot Nintendo were giving this away for free with something to do with your Nintendo ID so it was a nice surprise when the code appeared in my inbox. *posting on my phone there are no posting options?
  21. Strange how for years when they were banging on about an independent Scotland they couldn't wait to get in on the Euro, and sterling was a "millstone around Scotland's neck" but now that the Euro has been shown to be unholy mess suddenly keeping the GBP is in everyone's best interests. Sharing a currency between countries with differing economic situations is not feasible, and the Euro has amply demonstrated that, and there is no reason it should work and better between Scotland and the new UK. I don't even get it - if they want to be independent why do they want to be roped to us in such a fundamental way. It's like when a couple split up but they can't afford to move out of the house they bought together. I think the Scots just need to put down their copy of Braveheart, and see that if you take the romance of the idea out of the equation they're better off in the union

  23. I'm guessing Just Dance is relatively quick and cheap to make, and sells well, so it must be a good source of income to help fund the production of games like watch_dogs and the division, which eat up a lot of money for a long time before any chance of recouping costs. That article Goh posted shows it sells well on Wii, I was just wondering how it does on the PS3 and 360, since the Wii audience seems like its natural home and now PS4 and XO are out and Wii U's not going to make anyone any money, what is this genre's future? Publishers must like the comfort of a game series or genre that is consistently profitable to help smooth out their bottom lines, and there have always been one, before dance games it was mini game collections. If this isn't the new gen's cheap and cheerful genre, what will be? Can a publisher that makes big expensive games survive without one of these, or will they reduce further the number of new IPs they can take a chance creating?
