    So I just downloaded and then promptly uninstalled Battlefield 3 on my PC... Does anyone know of any other games with giant installs that require you to install a browser plugin to interface with them? I'd like to avoid this runaround in the future. I should have just given the code away to begin with...

      Well, I looked into Punkbuster, and my (admittedly nearly baseless) initial fear was quickly confirmed; people have issues with getting it off their PC, and keeping it from running in the background. I know it's ultimately probably not a big deal, but I've re-installed OSs for less. The browser thing is icing on the cake. I don't understand it, but I don't really feel like I need to. You're right, there is probably not a "threat", I just don't feel like playing...
