I think Amazon dun goof'd, maybe. Tried to do their "Buy a $10 gift card for $5" promo through the Kindle, but nothing showed up. Then I went to the AmazonLocal site where it showed it was being "processed", but after an hour it completely disappeared. But at the front page it says I've already bought it and they won't gimme another one

The charge showed up on my bank account, and given that you guys also have the same thing, maybe they're indeed getting butt-raped? I'll check with them just to be sure.

Looks like they just emailed me about it. Only took them about 11 hours, but I've got the code and all is well.
