Well starbreeze is the one that put the nfo and of course EA was the one that put the Origin requirement. While it is amusing, the reason is quite simple really.

Totally Off topic: Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who got so sick of ME2 that I never bothered finishing it... I'll finish it sometime before I end up getting 3. In absolutely no hurry to buy that game. I still remember when I was eagerly anticipating that and Spore and both disappointed me (it's a personal thing) more than any game has in the past 10 years. Well to be honest every game is somewhat annoying when you go down to the technical details. For instance i bought the witcher 1 ages ago and after I got win 7 64bit I wanted to install it again. It was a pain to get it running because the setup from the initial disc had so many issues (I ended up buying a digital copy for $1 and used my old key and not using the key I bought). From things like the CD key entry actually missing out space to enter a digit to the fact that it has issues updating and finally after a fair amount of fiddling it worked. It's a well documented thing now. What you might consider a pain in the ass, is almost like a metagame. Sometimes it's more fun to get a game running at the best/optimum settings than playing it. There's a strange/enjoyable sort of satisfaction in that. BTW did we discuss the fact that for the syndicate PC version there's an NFO file for those who'd try to crack it asking them to go work for them with details on how to apply for a job etc.

No Probs . The blotchiness is symptomatic of OLED screens, if memory serves me right this is super amoled plus because of the arrangement of the pixels. I forget where I found someone having investigated that, prior to that it was believed to be just Amoled. Anyway the blotchiness is nothing to worry about, it would be the same as those with S2 or Note phones.

@Shibbs, you just got refunded . Thing is apparently a lot of people were wrongly charged sales tax between some point in 2010 to early 2011 and they've been refunding all those people that money back. So for those who haven't checked and US PSN/SEN accounts you'll find some amount of cash waiting for you or will find some waiting for you I believe.

Uncharted 2 is honestly miles better, With the first game they did focus on a few pointless things like use the six-axis to throw bombs etc that they didn't really finetune the gameplay which they did for 2. Story is also better to be honest. Currently playing Binary Domain and all the Vita games.

Actually to be fair, I do feel bad for Greece. The best outcome would've been to just kick them out of the EU to be fair, but we have effectively created a third world nation in the EU now. If anyone thinks the Greek debt will be paid in our lifetime, barring a miracle it's next to impossible. Kicking them out would've been good for the EU and for the people of Greece. Both sides committed mistakes in this case but at the end of the day, we just made this situation because we need a new place for cheap labour in the West that isn't India or China.

Actually we could lose it, I mean it's so easy for data to get corrupted. Hard drives, physical media, magnetic media, SSDs anything and everything we store data can be corrupted. It's not like in times of calamity or war we're going to make sure our data is safe. Best way to keep it safe is to make another Voyager probe but with games and films this time .

$P? patience. I mean I get the other references but hmm? I guess I think of it in more physics terms. Money you have is inversely proportional to the time you have. There may be other constants or variables but generally in life Money ∝ 1/Time

It should hit US retail now that RSG has an office in the US (they took over Marvelous US operations).

Just to get this bit clear. In order to transfer content from the PS3 to the Vita even if all your content shows up. Both the Vita and the PS3 must be signed on to the same login. It's like if you try to use multiple steam accounts on the same user login (usually this means that for the account that it wasn't purchased on it'll show up as demo). You can transfer your Japanese demos and content to your Vita from your PS3 once the vita is signed into that account. Switching between logins is a 3-5 minute process. Just go to settings, format and restore the PS Vita system. It'll ask you to deactivate the device for your login (do it) and once that's done it'll ask you if you want to format your Memory card as well for which you say no. After that you've to sit through the silly intro video that takes a few minutes and then set it to your JP or other region account, transfer the files to your memory card and then switch back to your main account. If you have enough space on your cart you can store a lot of content. The thing is you can't play purchased content on your login and get trophies but you can play demos. This is pretty much how you use the same memory card to have multiple accounts. The downsides are that you need to factory reset and sit through the video each time you switch accounts and you can't play purchased content between accounts.

Well I'll get one of them in the next few weeks. I'm trying to limit my spending for this week since I need to buy a lot of shit for the house and need to decide if I want to wait for SF vs Tekken for the Vita or just get it on the PS3 and get the vita version down the line. Honestly I loved UMVC3 on the PS3 and know I'll like BBCSExtend on the vita so it's a matter of which has more people to play with when/if I feel like. Currently I'm somewhat annoyed that my fastest times on wipeout aren't uploading to the server despite the thing saying yeah my local fastest time is such and such.

I bet most corporations wouldn't mind a massive extinction of a said number of animals/people and do an experiment to decompose organic tissue into the same hydrocarbons as petroleum. I mean sure it's a fantasy for them but I bet they wouldn't mind it if it actually happened. Also we do have fuel cells which are incredibly expensive and do serve as alternative fuel. It's just the technology isn't entirely feasible for the mass-market (as in it's still abit too expensive to be affordable for most people). Certain green energy schemes while being scams were done with good intentions. Anything that's good can be corrupted if people choose to do so. We've been trying to find decent renewable resources for decades. It's just that easy to power entire civilisations with what we now know. Cold fusion was something that we sought for this back in the 90s (not that research still isn't going on, it's just something we're less focussed on today). Sometimes science fiction doesn't seem to be too far from what we'd do. I think it's more likely that we'd attempt planet cracking on some asteroids when we run out of certain resources here. It's not entirely unfeasible. At the moment we're looking at multiple ways to generate energy - the thing is a lot of the early sources of renewable energy depended on things that existed in nature such as wind, light and such - nothing that we are in control of. Today we're looking at a process where we could power objects using energy created in the cells, electrostatic force and of course there's always the various Nuclear methods. We will find a very effective source of power, and when it happens it'll be a revolution. The most recent revolution we've honestly had is the information age. 25 years ago a personal computer was still somewhat of a luxury, today in most advanced nations it's impossible to function properly without a computer and/or the internet. We need one in the field of power soon. Final Note on energy: The whole anti-climate change funding uncovering fiasco was an interesting read to say the least. As for that quiz, I'd done it ages ago and while I always fall on the libertarian side (-6, -4 or something close to that), my personality makes it hard for me to be as far into the green as my personal beliefs go. Mostly because I have a fucking massive ego and believe that I'm best to rule this planet XD - but hey I'm honest about it. So some of my answers probably stem from when/if I get into power sort of thing. Here's the truth about politics really. We do need an egocentric person in power but someone whose ego is centred towards the external rather than the internal. You know what? All the greatest statesmen/women, influential thinkers and philosophers - well most of the successful ones did have a pretty sizeable ego and personality. They just weren't that focussed on their personal interests but rather the interests of a group (they identified with the group and their ego was to protect the interests of the group). The issue with politics today be it US,EU,UK or most of the world is that there's barely any strife (which is good) but it's given rise to a bunch of ineffectual pseudo-academics who would much rather see themselves get stuff without seeing the big picture. Everyone wants possessions and things and politics is a career where it's just easy to get them. The focus isn't about leading people or a nation but on the fringe benefits of a career. If that's not the case we end up with a bunch of nutjobs who care about too tiny a group to lead a nation. To lead a nation one must truly care about the people and put aside friends, their personal circles and even sometimes their family aside. This is a much difficult sacrifice for most people today. The world needs a reset button so that we can move to a more progressive state. Unfortunately that means a lot of people will suffer - there's not many ways about it (more so than at any previous given time in history). In most previous conflicts the human society was fortunate that most civilisations were disjoint enough that when one collapsed the others could still maintain and feed the scraps while one rebuilds. It's no longer that way. The depression showed what it could do when just the Western world was interconnected and so did the world wars. Following that we have had the cold war (which was more of the cold standoff to be fair), several economic crises and of course the 08 incident. We are aware at some point something's going to break but we try our best to fix it so that the status quo is maintained - it won't be this way forever. There will be some crap consequences to be paid by the 'lesser' citizens, I'm sure the Greek citizens will be feeling this soon, the longer we maintain this. When it breaks down finally we'll be in trouble. So far no one's trying to make the inevitable fallout easy. (BTW this can take longer than our lifetime even, it took nearly 3 centuries to castrate imperialism after all) There is one question in that questionnaire which bothered me and that was the ownership of land. Every human being has the right to own some small speck of land by means of the state and when the state wants the land back, they can pay the individual. It's how it works and if you decide to give your land back to the state, that's again your choice. Getting rid of land ownership entirely is bad - it needs to exist regulated by the state with floors and ceilings. P.S. I'm sorry if I derailed the discussion with this post as it's not specifically pertaining to US politics.

Honestly it's a lot easier to transfer stuff via the PS3 to the Vita. However the transfer rates are faster from the Vita to the PS3 rather than vice versa for most people.

Absolutely, take a look at all the villages, cities etc that were abandoned over the past 70 years and we'll see that many are badly preserved. Something that most people aren't totally aware of is that there's at least 50 villages that were abandoned during WW2 that were not returned to. The ones that had civil buildings like a church were somewhat maintained the rest were left to die.

Whatever happened to that VideoGame preservation library that was trying to run and maintain small self-sustained servers of long dead MMOs and also other games? Or did they just scratch that project? I think there's always going to be collectors and you'll find most games existing in some form or the other. I think it'll be amusing to see something a few 100 years from now stating - The Museum thanks blah and blah for their donation of X game collection. While we think not much of it, cultural media is always going to be lost, what we see today is but a tiny percentage of what once existed. Sad but true - there's not much we can do about it because society changes, borders, wars, etc. A 100 years from now someone will remember some mainstream games and a few cult classics but everything ranging from titles like say Valkyria Chronicles to games such as the 80s transformers game etc will all be forgotten. It's how society works. We can and should try to preserve as much as we can so that some of it survives but a good chunk is going to get destroyed/buried/forgotten over time. (i.e. I'm saying we should try to preserve so that some survives instead of it all going to waste).

I'm aware UMVC3 is ported down but the effects don't look that bad to be honest. It looks pretty decent for a handheld. Blazblue technically looks slightly better but it's better to get a game that most have rather than one with fewer players initially.

Ahh, you played with a keyboard? I'm sorry but this game is crap to play with on a keyboard. It's much better played with a controller. That's just the way it was programmed. Also loot is an important key point in diablo and this did try to take that aspect from the Blizz games. No crazy loot in Diablo makes it as meh as the clones. Loved the horadric cube.

Game has issues with Nintendo technically as is. Initially they weren't getting ltd copies of the last story then it turns out that they can't stock last story at all. It's to do with their credit issues and Nintendo and Konami UK are a bit too strict with that. EA is a bit more lenient and they do rely a fair bit on Game for retail distribution. Mass Effect will be fine just like Syndicate is but if things continue as is they could jump ship sometime mid next fiscal. I'm not entirely certain of the workings of EA with Game but there are others who can clarify this.

So I've added all you guys right now. Hmm I was actually going with Blazblue since it has a good SP mode as opposed to UmVC3 which I own already on the PS3 but if we're up for matches then I'd go with that first and then Blazblue. I'll be getting HSG in 2-3 weeks. Dynasty Warriors should be with me next week and Blazblue/UMVC3 probably next week. As for PSP games - depends on your tastes. The better SE games such as crisis core and birth by sleep are not available in the store but you can get Atlus's Persona 1-3 on it. There's also TiTS and the Ys games which are good. I'd recommend Vice City Stories, Megaman Maverick Hunter amongst others. Edit: Gravity Rush demo is up on the HK/SG store. You'll need to download it via one of those accounts (need to do a switch, keeps all data but you lose your settings if you opt not to format the mem card) but it will work on any region account after it's been transferred. http://vita-wallpapers.com/ http://freevitathemes.com/ Some sites with some decent themes.

Not my usual but it's been a weird night.

I guess it depends on the kind of game. Generally I'm against skippable combat but that's because I love gameplay over story with the rare exception.

I'll add you guys soon enough, it's on charge for now . Currently it's a bit odd that I've found about 26 people with Vitas in a 1.5km radius from where I live; some of them have been adding me. That's quite interesting for my area of London.
