So, uh, the ACIV DLC is getting a standalone release? Wat? With Liberation HD and now this does that make the series triannual now? They're not exactly full-blown releases but still. Are they out of their fucking minds? "We must run it into the ground FASTER!"

Yeah all they're doing is making their DLC available to people who didn't buy the game or already traded their game in. It's not like it's a new release or anything like that.

The running into the ground was already happening with the yearly releases, imho. To add extra releases on top of that, however small they might be, just seems unnecessary. Even if we ignore the standalone DLC, Liberation HD is still a full game. Since you just know there's another one coming, that'll be 2 AC games this year. Just seems kind of excessive to me.

Yeah but Liberation isn't a new game, it came out in 2012. But there's always been spinoff Assassins Creed games since the Altair days. This isn't a big issue, in my opinion.
The yearly releases could be, but AC4 is one of the best in the series, so I don't think they've begun running it into the ground, yet.
