Damn it, getting a last minute urge to buy The Witness. It looks great but the price kinda put me off a bit. But the review scores being great and talks of huge spoilers going around kinda have me wanting to play it ASAP...

I loved Braid, but I don't know if I could do a whole game that's nothing but on the nose puzzles. Portal had a schtick to it which I loved.

It sounds worth the price. Apparently mainlining the "main story/puzzles" takes 40+ hours. 100% is 100+ hours.
Also apparently it's not just puzzles. There's a pretty solid story behind a lot of it too, apparently, and lots of adventurey vibing.

Some people have mentioned bits that are almost ambient cutscenes/story sequences. I think there's a lot to it.
