Ah, ok. Yeah, I saw those. So this update was meant to go live for a while then?

Also, I got a pop-up and sound notifications when you replied to this and it startled me. AND I JUST NOTICED WE CAN LIKE REPLIES TO STATUS UPDATES NOW! What a time to be alive!

You can pretty much do statuses as a full blown post now. Formatting, links, throw in a video if you want. But yeah now you can get the fancy HTML5 notifications too (like with Gmail, Facebook etc). And liking, which was a feature back in Version 2 iirc.

As for the update, Version 4 came out many moons ago but initial launch it missed a lot of features (e.g statuses on the homepage) as well as minimal add-ons supported. It's since matured and the old version buggering up for me sorta forced my hand. I'd say it's worked out for the best (the old Version 3 was actually dropping support tomorrow too so eek).

I've still tweaks to make, and a couple of the add-ons to replace but I've a weekend ahead of me.

LOL. Finally, we can have full blown serious discussions on the status updates without being hampered by the forum.
