Gunplay and lore is why I got into it, lack of interesting story progress is why I lost interest.

Yeah, the campaign is really weird in how what's currently happening is kinda whatever but then they start talking about what happened in the past and it's like: " Tell me more!"

I remembered feeling kinda lost when I played the start of the campaign on battle.net. So this time I made sure to watch some Destiny 1 recap videos before starting and it honestly still wasn't all that engaging. I just had a little bit more context for what the Traveler is and the significance of losing it.

I remember the story in D1 was basically "I could tell you... but I won't" over and over, though I never played the expansions maybe those added more stuff.
