Started playing RDR today. It's good so far but it's so damn slow to start... 2-3 hours in and I'm still doing rancher jobs and only had a few shooting missions. I'm having GTA IV flashbacks...

the ranching stuff are my favorite parts of the game. I recommend going slow. Appreciate the scenery. Walk instead of running. Watch a sunset. See the way that the people in Hennigan's Stead go about their daily lives.

Well, yeah, the rancher jobs are fun and all. And the world looks pretty good at times. But RDR being a western, I'm kinda looking forward to getting into shootouts and duels and whatnot.

Despite what people on the internet will have you believe, RDR really is just GTAIV in a Western setting. Not that there's anything wrong with that, though.
