Just logged on Steam and I received a CS:GO invite. I want to try it but I'm also wondering what kind of value it might have? How's the demand? Is it tradeable for something good?

How do you guys get the invites?

Well I'm pretty sure I opted in for the beta at one point, like filled out a survey or something from Valve. But other than that, I just received it without really doing anything special.

Uh, okay. So, I got a steam pop-up that basically said "CS:GO" is more fun with friends, so we gave you a new invite!". I checked my inventory and there was still only one of them. Then I checked my games library and there was CS:GO among my uninstalled games. Not sure how the game added itself to my library on its own, but I'm not complaining! Now I can have my cake and eat it too
