I'll give you that, the platforming is pretty average (at best); but i don't think anyone is praising it for that. The things they are saying, that it oozes charm, uses the Vita in new, interesting and fun ways and that it's a joy to play aren't wrong. Maybe it's not the best game of the year, but for my money, it's one of the more enjoyable ones.

I'll give you that I cracked a smile the first time I poked my finger through the ground to kill enemies, or used the touch screen to unroll a path, but the novelty of the interface wears off after about the second or third level. I agree it oozes personality, but the level design doesn't hold up its end and novel controls only get you so far. I enjoyed my one playthrough, but as soon as I went back to start getting collectibles I missed I realized I had no interest in slogging through those levels again now that the novelty was gone. It was a decent game, nothing more.
