Glad I stayed out of the rumour mill for this season. I heard something about Walder Frey playing the First Doctor, though last I read on that it was debunked (guess not), so I was surprised when I heard his voice. Under Moffat's reign we've had, War Doctor, 8, 10, 11, 12, and now 1... that has to be a record. It definitely wasn't Moffat's best season, I'd still take Smith over Capaldi any day, and I missed Clara, but Bill was great too. And the season as a whole was OK, though might have been better as 10 episodes than 12. Wasn't there a Victorian episode? You could cut that one, I don't even remember anything about it. And maybe the one with the Roman soldiers in Scotland or the Mars one. I wish they actually had the nerve to kill Bill (lololol) instead of whatever bullshit that was at the end, but the rest of the episode was good enough I can look past it. Bring on the Christmas episode and hopefully a Spring 2018 launch of the New Doctor.

Oceanhorn (Switch) Oh man, what an uninspired game. Kind of fun, I suppose. Also: They were cheap on Amazon JP. I HAVE NO SHAME!!! Also did I mention this: I sold my SNES when I was 11, I've been regretting it lately. Grabbed one from my used game store with a second controller for 70 bucks, plus Super Mario World. Went back the next day and get FFIII. I have a Samsung CRT TV, probably one of their last CRTs, these games look great on it. Busted out my old NES, cleaned up the carts with some rubbing alcohol. Fuck Virtual Console.

I think Pokemon Switch / Metroid Prime 4 announcements were smart. People would have freaked without those announcements so at least they've shut people up.

Yeah I don't understand how they're so eager to milk Skyrim but not release a sequel or a New Vegas style spinoff.

If only the lazy fucking developers would type their 0s and 1s a little faster and games could get completed in 18 months - 2 years like films.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. The past few weeks the narrative was that the games Sony shows at E3 are years out. So this year they reeled it back and focused on games coming out, for the most part, in the next 12 months. And now everyone's annoyed they didn't announce a bunch of games.

The PC gaming show had the best announcer, I'll give them that much.

I thought it was trash. You know, I kind of like the idea of Bethesda's more than mods but not quiet DLC. Keep my games expanding forever in meaningful ways, I'm in. It'd be nice if this stuff had trophies/achievements too.

I thought RE7 was supposed to be a return to form (albeit in the first person). Oh well, these games are all too spooky for me to play. Hopefully Evil Within 2 has a mode where it's less scary.

My understanding was it was the poor man's Resident Evil but I don't know what the point of it is now that RE is back with 7.

TCP's E3 Predictions (Well More Like Hopes and Dreams): -Switch Virtual Console is announced, debuts with most (or all?) of the Wii U VC. I don't have to pay for my VC games again or if I do it's a small upgrade fee and they come with filter options. -2D (or 2.5D) downloadable Metroid game is announced AND a 3D retail Metroid game is announced, like when Fusion and Prime came out simultaneously. -New DLC for Mario Kart 8. I played all these tracks to death on the Wii U, wouldn't it be cool if Mario Kart was just this ever growing platform? -Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS port on the Switch, with the stages from each games... AND the Ice Climbers. And BotW Link. -Spider-Man PS4 is a fall 2017 game. -Bethesda announces Starfield, has no microtransactions, looks dope as hell. -PS4 Pro price drop -Ocarina of Time / Majora's Mask 3D ports on Switch. Have you seen the videos of how great those games look in 4K? -VITA 2 IS ANNOUNCED, IS INCREDIBLE!
