Okay, yeah, I agree with that, I'm also highly skeptical they could be deflected.

Disarming a wizard might not work if there is a magic equivalent to the Jedi own Force field blocking any attempts of swiping their lightsabers away.
Physically though, wizards are boned. Things will turn south in close range.
And for blocking magic... Kylo stopped a blaster bolt which is amazing in any universe. Maybe blocking or stopping magic is possible... especially if magic get explained via symbiotic bacteria.

I don't believe a normal, run of the mill, non-evil wizard would just use avada kedavra, or any of the "banned curses" in a duel, even against a jedi. It's the same as a jedi using force choke, they could do it, but probably wouldn't.

Did you try co-op at all? I found it pretty enjoyable, especially with the helicopter-like machines.

Seems like there use to be a lot of people around here (or back on TAY) that used their PSN names, or names just like it. I remember Strangelove being VincentGrey at one point. I'm pretty sure FLD was Toxicitizen either here, TAY, or back on Kotaku. And of course, SomTervo was Kenshi up until a week or so ago.

PREDICTION: Episode 8 begins with a cold open, featuring Luke and Rey, immediately after TFA ended, with Rey holding out the lightsaber. Luke says "I don't need that" and pulls out a black handled lightsaber, turns it on emitting a red beam, and quickly cuts Rey down. Cue scroll. Next time we see him in the movie he's wearing the hide of Chewbacca and a hat made out of the top of R2D2. EDIT: I WROTE THAT PREDICTION BEFORE SEEING THIS HOLY FUCK IT'S HAPPENING:

Not trying to be confrontational at all Jack, but I'd love to know what some of these claims they're making are?? I haven't heard anything like that, besides being a little vague at times on somethings (like if whether or not you can actually see other gamers).

Just finished Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Still a fantastic game, it holds up very well, and I think it's a much better game than most shooters released around that period. I'm onto Among Thieves for now but I'll probably hop back in to get some of the trophies I missed.

Yeah people don't seem to understand that this is going to be very similar to Minecraft without building huge structures or any of that. You'll be exploring, mining materials, and upgrading your equipment/weapons/ship/etc. No (or very minimal) story, no giant set pieces. Where as Minecraft had that whole building mechanic with a limited world (I mean that in the sense that it didn't have that many types of Biomes/creatures/structures in it's heyday) NMS galaxy will have near infinite things to discover. To me, that sounds like my ideal game but if you need arcady action, scripted stories, or multiplayer action, this won't be the game for you.

Deadpool A pretty good movie filmed in the great Canadian city of Vancouver starring the great Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson AKA Deadpool. They even name drop the not-so-great Canadian city of Regina, so that's cool. Colossus was pretty rad as well, and he has a Russian accent now which is pretty important for a Russian character, though that kind of doesn't make sense since in the last X-Men movie he didn't. Anyways, it was pretty funny and the action was pretty great. The scale of the film was much smaller than most X-Men films these days which is actually kind of refreshing. Now I just want to see a fully blown X-Men movie Deadpool in it.

I also beat Firewatch. I also loved it. What a game! I do wish they had released it in summer though, it can get pretty smokey around here, it would have been a great time to play it.
