  1. Hey look Doctor Who is interesting again!
  2. I just can't picture Pikmin as a big holiday game... not in the way Super Mario Odyssey, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, and Pokemon Sword/Shield were. Pikmin 4 and those rumoured Paper Mario and 2D Metroid are great mid-year games though.
  3. A direct follow up to one of the best games of all time. No pressure!! In all honesty though, just give us more Hyrule to explore, make Zelda playable, and give us a few proper dungeons in addition to new shrines to explore and everyone will be should be happy. At this point I'm operating under the assumption that this will be Nintendo's big fall release. I don't see what else it could be. I don't think Bayonetta 3 has enough appeal. Pokemon is in DLC mode all year. Metroid Prime 4 is too far behind. Unless Odyssey 2 is secretly in development and ready for release, I just don't see what else it could be.
  4. My picks: Breath of the Wild Red Dead Redemption 2 The Witcher 3
  5. I don't care if it's technically a port of a game from 2018 that was originally released in Japan in 2017 I FRIGGIN LOVED IT.
  6. The original trilogy wasn't planned out. Leia kissed her brother at the beginning of Empire, at the end Yoda and Obi talk about how "there is another Skywalker". In Jedi it's revealed that Leia is his sister. Though ultimately that has nothing to do with anything. But regardless Leia says she's always known. What?? ? Doesn't take genius to realize George was just making that shit up as he went. Also there's dumb shit in it like the god damn fucking Ewoks taking out AT-STs and tons of troopers. No one noticed those giant logs hanging in the trees?? Exactly where the walker happened to be? Sure. ? All I'm saying is, if you want to hate on the dumb shit with Rise of Skywalker, go ahead, but if you do, you better hate on the whole series. It's all a big dumb FUN mess. Rise of Skywalker had a few issues, it probably would have been justified to be at least an extra 30 minutes. Rose was unfairly sidelined. Carrie dying clearly changed their plans and fucked things up. What they should have done was change the end of The Last Jedi to let Luke live so he could take on what was clearly suppose to be Leia's role in TROS. They had a year between her death and the TLJ release, plenty of time to figure things out. They did the best they could with her archive stuff but it felt awkward and not very convincing. Otherwise I haven't heard a convincing complaint about it. The original trilogy had two good movies and one excellent middle entry. Just like the sequel trilogy. It's like poetry, it rhymes!!!!! Of course the prequels had three bad films, so maybe it's not like poetry.
  7. Lighthouse was a great film. GREAT FILM. Recently an American friend asked me what to do when he visits Nova Scotia next year (a place I've never been). All I could think of was "visit the lighthouse from The Lighthouse". ?
  8. I admire your passion. I TAKE IT BACK! Oh shit I also forgot that I got real into Episode 1 Podracer, I can't remember if there was a campaign or not to beat. ?
  9. Colin Trevorrow, of Jurassic World fame, was suppose to do episode 9 but he got fired. Rian is doing his own Star Wars movies which appear to still be on track, thankfully as TLJ is one of the best Star Wars movies.
  10. Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order A solid 7.5/10. Though the fact people are listing this game as one of their GOTY's proves how weak 2019 was, IMHO. Combat felt tedious. The Zelda inspired temples felt... well, uninspired! The pacing of the story felt weird. The game itself was janky. At the very end, after the final boss fight, the character I was playing as kept falling through the ground. The whole experience felt longer than it needed to, each planet was bigger than it needed to be, occasionally after making good progress a scripted event would happen that would place you further back. Though overall it was a fun Star Wars adventure. I guess it's better than the Star Wars game I beat, Shadows of the Empire in 1998 on N64.
  11. The Rise of Skywalker Loved it! Knives Out Loved it! Rian Johnson is one of the all time greats.
  12. I liked The Witcher. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri's portrayals were all fine with me. I agree with FLD, Dandelion was great, the show was at it's best when Dandelion and Geralt were together. I liked the different timelines and how they weaved together. The main thing I didn't like was the terrible cinematography. It's such a pity to spend so much effort in CGI, costumes, props, make up.... and make it all look cheap and crappy with a bunch of dutch tilts.
  13. I thought it was great. Don't @ me.
  14. Everyone knows the Game of the Year is Assassin's Creed 3 on the Switch.
  15. Pokemon Sword Edition Quite simply one of the finest games of this generation. A true genre defining moment for JPRGS. .....Is what I would like to be saying. This game is a 3DS game with a boring world plastered in the middle. It's frustrating. Sun and Moon pushed the series forward in a lot of ways though this game seems to have ignored all of those advancements. The gym battles are weak. Dynamexing is weak. The characters are WEAK. You spend most of the game thinking Hop is the worst character ever and then right at the end two characters show up that are somehow worse. I HATE IT. That said I do love Pokemon. 7/10.
  16. I picked Scorbunny, but I know have all three starters due to trading. Found a Farfetch'd earlier today and got to become Sirfetch'd pretty quick, he's actually a pretty good Poke. I'm learning a lot about the UK in this game. For instance, did you know that everyone in Great Britain has the same interior to their house?! Amazing!
  17. Game disc? What year is it?! Pro tip, buy it digitally and PlayStation won't charge you taxes. I bought it on Saturday, not long after my last post, I've played it all weekend!
  18. Now that I live in a city that isn't a stupid ass hick city in the middle of nowhere, I can see dope ass movies. The Lighthouse -At first it was kind of like a Decemberists song made into a movie. But then it moved into something ....else. It was incredible. Go see it in a theatre, if you can. Jojo Rabbit -Similar heart to Hunt For The Wilderpeople but a different type of movie. The kid who played Jojo was great. Scarlet was great. Everyone was pretty great.
  19. "Oh TCP, are you playing The Outer Worlds?" "Nah dawg" "Oh what about Death Stranding? You did love The Phantom Pain after all" "Oh uh, yeah, maybe later..." I have no self control.
  20. Dragon Quest XI Probably the best JRPG I've ever played... sorry Persona 5. This game, man. It's essentially three games in one and I loved it. More games like this, please. EDIT: and before anyone says anything, yeah, I got the true ending.
  21. Please don't judge me... but I am loving THE HELL out of Dragon Quest 11 S.

  22. Sorry, are you talking the level design in the last few dungeons or
