  1. @TheMightyEthan classic SNES controller makes SNES games feel more authentic. But I am the guy with nearly 800 vinyl records, so, YMMV. Anyways, the wife, Mrs. Poet, wants to play Untitled Goose Game (geese are cute), Stardew Valley, and Pokemon Shield, so I got her:
  2. I bought this a few days ago. Nintendo said it was "temporarily unavailable" but the order button was still active. I was expecting my order to get cancelled but it shipped on Friday. Too bad you can't use the d-pad in Link's Awakening or this would be perfect.
  3. Almost at the fourth dungeon of Link's Awakening. Even after getting this far, this art style is still charming as heck. I want every 2D Zelda remade like this. Oracle games obviously. Minish Cap would look great. But I think the original LoZ and A Link to the Past would also be great in this style. Not only could they use the graphical upgrade but the additional movement would make both games feel a lot less antiquated.
  4. If Sony doesn't let Spider-Man back into the MCU I'm going Xbox next gen. WHO'S WITH ME?!?!

Well, looks like you narrowly avoided an existential crisis, Cowboy! At least for now...

Great! Now allow me to be the first to ask... Where's the Switch port?!
  6. Two indie games for the Switch: And the best PS3 (unless Black Flag counts??) era Ass Creed. "BREXIT THIS!!" *hidden blade through the throat*
  7. Dragon Quest Builders 2: honestly, it's the best building game I've played since Terraria. Performance on the Switch was pretty poor when you started building a lot but for the most part in the story it ran fine. It's the perfect game for handheld though so the trade off in performance is well worth it. Game play wise, it's a big improvement from the first Dragon Quest Builders. I just wish it gave you more opportunity for creativity in the main story. Fun fact: it's the first Dragon Quest game I've ever completed (I got about 99% of the way through Dragon Quest 9 but gave up at the final boss due to needing to grind).
  8. Super Mario Maker Hey that single player story mode was pretty fun!
  9. RIP Steam.

Oh sorry guys just caught up on the Shenmue EGC news. What a load of BS.

  10. Final Fantasy XV What the fuck even was that?
  11. Final Fantasy XV I think I'm in chapter 10 now. I know, I know, but guys, this game is great. I mean, yeah the story is non-sensical and convoluted and it's pretty hard to care about anything because it's so up its own ass. BUT THE BROMANCE!!! It's great. I mean, yeah, it tries to be an action RPG and it's not really strong in the action respects and yeah, it loses a lot of what Final Fantasy is suppose to be with the lack of traditional classes and magic. Also sometimes the game just feels strangely rushed. There's weird sections where major things happen but it's like... none of the characters really cared? Or they decide to do something but it's never really explained. It's like the game feels a little rushed. But I don't care. I'm loving this stupid world it's created.
  12. Ok good to confirm, thanks! The Switch version is on sale and that could push me over the edge but I think I'll hold off. I can understand the PS4 version not having it since it came out first, but the PC version came out with it, and then the Switch version came out afterwards without it. That's so Square Enix it hurts.
  13. @Mister Jack don't leave me hanging!
  14. God damn that FF7 is looking hot.

  15. I guess I'm playing Final Fantasy games now?? Anyways, played about 9 hours of this when it first came out but wasn't feeling it. Now after FFXII and Persona 5 last year, I feel my appreciation for JRPGs is better these days.
  16. On Switch? PS4? I thought someone said fast forward is PC only??
  17. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Man, I still have no idea what this game is about. But I really like being able to choose my characters jobs and the license system. Once the second license board opens up, you can pick what combination of jobs your characters have, it's great. The Hunts were my favourite part, I wish more Final Fantasy games had them. Music wise it's kind of ho-hum, nowhere near as good as FF13. Ivalice is an interesting fantasy world, I like the middle eastern influences a lot of the cities have. Story wise, it's not as incomprehensible as FF13 but it's also hard to give a fuck about anything when Vaan is pushed into the middle of everything as the main character... even when Baltheir openly refers to himself as the main character. He would have been better but I'm if the opinion that Basch or Ashe would be better. I also want to mention how great the English localization is, especially for 2006. It's spot on. I have to say, almost without exception, every character in this game dresses stupidly. I have to say playing at 4x speed is great, when you turn it back to normal speed it's incredibly sluggish, I can't imagine playing that on the PS2. I've read that FFX remastered does not have the fast forward feature, too bad. Also too bad this never got a direct sequel. Yes, yes, I know there's a DS sequel but it's a tactical RPG or something and it's also on the DS. In a world full of unnecessary Final Fantasy sequels, I feel this one actually deserves one. Most importantly... were Baltheir and Fran banging?
  18. My favourite part of e3 is the Thursday and Friday before when everything leaks.

Holy shit, E3 is leaking really bad this year. Since Sony and Nintendo is out, Microsoft need to have their TOTALLY NECESSARY live band play a last song for the sinking E3.

Honestly, knowing for a fact that the GRRM x From game is not only real but confirmed to be there makes me even more hyped! The leak being nothing more than a logo is fucking killing me right now!
