Sometimes I am just appalled at the reaction of the internet. A lot of victim blaming. Just reading stories online and reading any of the comments. Its a sad world we live in where people don't think those committing the crime are at fault but its the fault of the victim or those that reported the crime.

I think in a lot of cases the truth has too much nuance for most people to handle... It's like just because the aggressor is the party in the wrong, the victim is 100% unrelated to the victimization? I say not necessarily. Is that blame, or just cause and effect?

Listen, don't read the comments. Keep cool, and know that most of these people aren't trying to help, but are just trying to get attention. And, some people don't know the difference between positive and negative attention.

Someone walks into a biker gang bar, makes a joke about bikers and gets beaten up. Who's responsible? The aggressors. Who caused it? Well, both parties were instrumental in that event; we can't pretend they'd have looked this person up and beaten them if they'd never seen them before.
