Every once in a while I remember something that happened that infuriates me. Such as the one time a cab drive honked at me while driving next to me for no apparent reason, when we stopped at a stop light he got out of his car made threats and proceeded to grab something out of the back of his car. I called his cab company (I already hate cab drivers) but never found out if he was reprimanded for acting dangerously.

No, I was in my lane driving next to him after we both exited a large (very large) roundabout. I was in the middle lane and he was in the left lane. We never came close and he was not intending on changing lanes at all (he turned left after a while). I never went into his lane, nor intended to. We drove next to each other for all of 40 feet before he honked at me and stopped at the red light.

only logical explanation is he thought you were somebody else.

I love that turn of phrase. Whenever anyone does that with me the conversation tends to go:
"Hey how's it going?"
"Sorry, I'm not sure I know you."
"Oh, my bad, I thought you were somebody else."
"I am."
