I have a Matlab test today. It's pretty basic stuff, but I have no need to learn matlab as its something we don't use in my field (construction engineering management) so I find it hard to even go to class. I have to pass this class cause this is my last semester so I need to get the F out of college

I've already worked in my field, nobody even uses matlab. Its just an old requirement that they haven't replaced yet.

Matlab is retarded, plain and simple.
As a computer engineering major I guffaw at that half-assed "language".

I'll admit that some people use it for amazing things. I have a friend who's an aerospace engineer and it's great for the material stuff he does.
