I post things and hardly ever bother to respond. Mostly because I know that its my opinion and no one is going to change it. The innernet is a strange place. People will spend hours arguing over something and trying to change your mind, yet were all bothered by GS employees asking us to get a membership or the salvation army asking us for donations. That shit doesnt even take 3 seconds. Its cool if were trying to force our shit on others, but when they do it to us its a disgrace.

Killzone 3 for 20 bucks is a steal. If you have Move, its practically mandatory to own that game. Its great.

Finally got my copy of Alice: Madness Returns in the mail. Im liking it a lot so far. It reminds me of a good PS2 platformer(Im not trying to start any shit, but I think PS2 platformers were the best).

I liked Batman Beyond a lot, but I always felt uneasy about it because I felt it was a ripoff of Spiderman. That doesnt bother me at all because its really well done, it just bothers me that no one recognizes it as such.

Well, Tomb Raider Underworld, and all 3 PS1 Spyro games are free with PS+. Penny Arcade Adventures 1 and 2 are 3 dollars for both. Anyone know if theyre worth that? I used to hate PA, but ive warmed up to it. So hows the actual game?

Well, I finally caved. After having a PS3 for about 4 years, I finally bought a dynamic theme. Damn Nightmare Before Christmas. Time to go cut myself.

I put it off long enough and got some freebies with SotC/Ico. There's also a free one in the Japan store for "Akiba's Trip" where a dog-eared maid dances in the street until a creep with a camera gets too close and she runs away, haha... There's various pedestrians in the background, including a bear walking on 2 feet and looking around, dressed like a chef.

If I order stuff from the USA (into Canada) I prefer to go with USPS because of customs fees. Ground shipping by post? $5 brokerage fee. Ground shipping by FedEx or UPS? Starts around $30 and climbs - I've paid as much as the shipment was worth just to clear it before.

I never got arcana hearts 3 because it wasn't wide screen. For some reason, that's become a big deal to me. Same reason I haven't gotten any ps2 classics off psn.

Yeah, Im the same way. I dont register MK as a serious fighting game either. Even Smash Bros. is above MK. Its nothing against the game itself. The package of MK is awesome. Its a fun game as any other, but goddamn is is clunky and automated. It has a very limited engine that lacks any kind of customization. And its not just people who play Capcom fighters who think the same, its the Blazblue and Tekken players too. I guess the only decent analogy I can come up with is that MK is like God Of War and Capcom and Blazblue games are like Devil May Cry. Both good games and I personally love God Of War, but DMC just has a lot of freedom and allows you to play it any way you want with its combo system. GoW is not like that.

My favorite MGS is actually 2, but its a shame the series never again got as gritty as MGS1. The game is just a whole other thing from the rest. Theres something very dark, dirty, and strange about it. For 1997, it feels very experimental. Like for once, this was the work of one man instead of a group of people. I know they have nothing in common, but I like to think MGS1 is kind of like the Pulp Fiction of 1990s videogames. Its just out there for its time and it still holds up. As far as im concerned, its THE game that introduced cinematic style to the games that came after. I also think its the first PS1 game that had complete voiceacting for everything. I could be wrong though. Games back then just didnt have style like MGS1 did. -

I was trying to set up a big thing, but it didnt really happen. And to be honest, I dont like big party type stuff. I just like drinking with my closest friends, but over the years ive had this nagging feeling that I should make a big deal about my birthday, but I dont think its a big deal at all. Im just disappointed is all.

Sounds like a bad idea. The games are just set up perfectly the way they were released. There are a lot of references and injokes you just wont get if you dont play them based on release date. -
So I was at Gamestop ready to buy LA Noire for 20 bucks, but the guy removed the 20 off sticker and said it was only during the weekend. I just said thanks and walked off.

All the stickers on all the black Friday games were still on all the games.

I know in Massachusetts the law says if it's priced as that, they have to sell it to you at that price. They should then scramble and remove the other stickers. Essentially what they did was deceptive and false advertising (even if it was unintentional.)
