  1. I thought the nephelem rifts were supposed to be randomized, but ive done several and they all look like the stages i went through in the campaign. Though thats not saying much since they all look samey to me. Anyways, normal is bad. Thats easy mode. Its a big mistake too because my friend was complaining about the game being dull and automatic on normal. He gave up on it. Diablo 3 is a really good game, on normal it's bland as hell. It actually makes the game worse. I finished the campaign on normal then turned it up on hard for adventure mode and it was a lot more fun. Still too easy though. I just started a wizard yesterday and went straight to expert. Now THIS feels right. Its fun in expert. I actually almost died a few times. BTW the rifts is how I wish the entire game was. You immediately get surrounded by like 50 or so enemies all the time. Its fun just slaughtering everything. Its wonderful mayhem.
  2. Yeah, but the 3ds has shit graphics and shit resolution. They made the right choice in recycling there. PS3/ps4 is a whole other thing. It's going to stick out like a motherfucker. I'd like to think that they chose a home console over a handheld with the intent of updating everything. Otherwise they could have released p5 on 3ds since it's so popular in japan. And everywhere else.
  3. Hopefully they've been working on this since 2008 or 2009. So all the personas won't be rehashed from the ps2 era. I also hope to Jesus the game at least looks like Catherine graphically. I'd be happy enough with that. I'm afraid we'll get a ps2 game in higher resolution.
  4. Do any of you have any series of games that you really enjoy, but for some reason dont identify yourself as a fan of that series? Id never say I was a Resident Evil fan, but Ive played pretty much all of them. I always end up playing all the titles in some way or another. It feels like it just sort of happens. I dont think of it as a system seller, I dont get giddy when new trailers come out and I dont die of anticipation on release date either. Ive never preordered an RE game in my life. But I play all of them and I enjoy them thoroughly RE1 and RE4 are easily 2 of the greatest games ever made, RE4 is in my top 10, and I even enjoyed RE6 enough to complete all the story modes. I complained like everyone about how flawed RE5 was, but I still view it as a good game. I talk shit about Revelations, but I still enjoy it as well. And Ill probably play Revelations 2 as well. I still dont fee like an RE fan though. Not in the way that Id say I was an MGS, Mario or Uncharted fan.
  5. $5. That'll get you a Subway sub. Yup.
  6. It's really annoying that these great single player fps campaigns get made and no one ever talks about them. They always get overshadowed by their online multiplayer brethren. Pretty much why I don't play a lot of fps games.
  7. Metro: Last Light. So good. Easily one of the best single player FPS games Ive ever played. Fixed pretty much everything that I didnt like about the first. The story also makes sense retroactively.
  8. I cant justify spending $90 on a game all at once. Im not sure how season passes are so accepted. Seems like a decent idea, but im surprised people are ok with paying upfront like that. So I just got the regular digital version. Not to mention that you barely save any money with the season pass. Fuck that. Then again, people buy expensive collector's editions of new games in a new franchise completely unsure if the game will suck or not. So dumb.
  9. I've just heard about the chemtrail conspiracy theory....wow.

    1. Vecha

      Vecha

Heard a little about it before...but now I'm really curious. Hmmm...Aliens involved. Awesome!

  10. I will say that the new white one is pretty sweet looking. I like the new buttons a lot too.
  11. Metro 2033 Redux. It's good. I liked it quite a bit. It had a few gameplay problems and I really dont understand all the weird vague stuff that happens to the main character when he passes out or whatever, but it was good.
  12. Im rewatching the two Thor movies and it really sucks that people kind of dismiss them so easily. Theyre fun to watch, well acted and the special effects and art direction are fantastic. They just dont seem to matter much to the MCU. They add details to push the main plot forward and after credits scenes, but the overall stories are always self contained moreso than the others. Honestly, I think people take Asgard and it's visuals for granted. I always thought itd be impossible to pull off Asgard and the Asgardians and make them blend with all the other MCU movies, but they did. I also noticed that these 2 movies and the Avengers movie itself would have fallen completely apart if Tom Hiddleston wasnt so damn good as Loki. "Likeable asshole" is tough to pull off. I hope Thor 3 ends up being it's "Winter Soldier." I like these movies quite a bit.
  13. This is exactly what the first one should have been. And it is more or less a new console, not a different version of the 3DS. I wonder how people will react to this. To be honest, it sounds like a good product, I like it. But on the other hand, wrong time and wrong place. Its either too late or too early.
  14. From what I hear, the Xenoblade port is only on the new hardware. So yeah...
  15. What the fuck is up with that blonde kid you rescue in Metro 2033? That is the worst voice acting performance I've heard in recent memory. Jesus shit. It was so bad that I couldn't help but be impressed by it.
  16. I played a few hours of 2033 and I really like it, but it's not perfect. It does a lot of weird shit that Im not sure is deliberate. Sometimes the walking and running speed goes all weird. I understand that that changes when Im in a populated place. You cant jump or run fast around people and you slow down, but sometimes during combat my walking speed slows to a crawl same as my running speed. It just randomly does it. And its not because my character gets tired since Im just fucking walking. Saddest of all, the shotgun feels like absolute shit. It feels like im shooting the smallest lightest gun ever made. Its just flimsy and has no impact. Im also not sure how damage works. Sometimes Ill unload an entire clip or 3 bullets to take down the same monster and Im not really doing anything different. And lastly, the game doesnt tell you A LOT. Lots of unexplained stuff that seems to be somewhat important. Other than that, im enjoying it. Feels like Fallout as far as atmosphere goes.
  17. I wish I would have gotten hooked on it like you did. I just finished the campaign and did about 2 missions in adventure mode and stopped. Havent picked it up since last week.
  18. Ooh, a sequel to a game is going have a map 5 times bigger than the previous game. Why the fuck are people impressed with shit like this? Eat my poo and call me when the game is 5 times better.

I mean, the context of that quote was saying that they scaled the world size up to suit the sequels vehicle transport tech.

it's not witcher 3 so you can talk as much shit as you want

  19. Yeah, this is pretty much the worst month of plus since I can remember.
  20. Read up on them and they sound like something I would like. Probably should have bought 2033 first in case I didnt like it....oh well.
  21. I dont know what you mean. As far as I can tell, the single story missions are longer, since there are only about 5 or 6. I suppose the difference is that you can start them and for the most part, go off and do other shit while the mission is still on. A lot of these open world games dont allow you to get distracted in the middle of a story mission, but I went off and did side stuff while in a story mission a lot. Honestly, there really arent any side missons aside from collecting stuff or beating up DUP/gangsters. The arena kind of makes up for it.
  22. There's a PAX sale on PSN. It's really shitty. All the good shit is about 10% off. Lame.
  23. I dont know what you really mean. If you liked Second Son, youll like this one. If you didnt, you wont. It took me about 4 hours for the story mode(I assume, I have no idea since theres no timer). The storyline shifts from the present(arena) to the past(Seattle). There are almost twice as many neon upgrades for Fetch as there were for Delsin and you can clear up the map of collectibles in about an hour or 2. After that, you can play in the arena to do points based challenges. Outside of the gigantic arena, the other new arena is the outside of the DUP headquarters(the snowy area). The city is mostly half of what it was in SS, the area that has the space needle. Its still pretty big. And if you have SS, you can use Delsin in the arena.
