  1. KZ3 is the best game for Move. It's great. I dont have the sharpshooter, but the sharpshooter was made specifically for it.
  2. Ever wonder why ice cubes taste so boring? It’s cuz you make ‘em outta stupid water, you bimbo! Put some fruit juice in there and freeze it into ice cubes, and put THAT in your milk.

What fruit juice do you use?

  3. Yeah, its about 30 gb, but if I remember correctly a big portion is all sound files. The game has ridiculously high quality audio. Plus, the game was released in 2008. That was a long time ago, im almost positive that they could make the game again without the installs. Developing a PS3 game in 2007(possibly even since 2006) is way different than developing a game in 2012 on PS3 or Vita. And like I said earlier, Vita games have really high compression. The fact that they can have MGS2 and 3 completely under 4gb is a good indicator of that. Same with with UMvC3 being 1.1gb while on consoles its over 3gb. The quality between the 2 is almost unnoticeable on the good ports. I figure it could fit in a 16gb cart or smaller if they really tried. Good luck downloading it off PSN though. Im trying to go fully digital, but id definitely have to get the cart for this one if it happens. Overall, Im just really suspicious about the recent trophy patch. I seriously doubt anyone would go back to a 4 year old game that has had all online ties to it discontinued and add trophies to it. Its utterly pointless unless theyre a byproduct of something else, like a port. Every game after 2009 HAS to have trophies. It makes sense to just port them over to the PS3 version. Not to mention that Kojima is really pushing his transfarring thing. This would be another use for it.
  4. http://www.nowgamer....ft_creator.html Weird. Its kind of off-putting because it looks like theyre begging Notch to make a game for them and I honestly dont give a shit about Minecraft, but at the same time he REALLY seemed to like the gesture. Enough to interest him in making a Vita/PS3 game it seems. To be honest, if I were a developer id fall for shit like this easily.
  5. Downloads? Yeah I can see that. They DO want to go download only someday. Id say this is a good way to get it started. Well that and lowering the price of memory cards while making them larger capacity.
  6. We dont have a general MGS thread, so I figured this is the closest thing to it. Were definitely getting something this year. Its not Revengeance because that comes out next year. I also doubt its only an announcement for next year, because that's not really a "2012" event. I can only assume it's MGS5 or a sidestory for the Vita. I also assume that MGS5 will go multiplatform. Not so much because of the 360 crowd, but because of the Wii U. Having a new MGS game at launch would be good for it. I seriously never understood why Kojima sticks to Sony so much. I can only assume they pay him for it, but he's always seems ridiculously enthusiastic over Sony. He always puts Sony shit in his games as references. That being said, he's also a big Nintendo fan. So if he makes a PS3/Wii U game, he might as well release it for the 360 while he's at it. A Vita game would also work though, it could do for the Vita what MGS4 did for the PS3 - boost some sales. Also, there was a demo for MGS4 running on the Vita when it was stilled called the NGP. The resolution and the framerate would take a hit, the sound quality and some of the textures would also need to be downsized for a cart, but it could definitely do it. The Vita has some ridiculous magical compression.
  7. I heard about that a while ago. Sound Shapes is also doing the same thing - buy it on PS3 and you get the Vita version for free and vice versa. I can see digital games doing it, but retail is just something else. Im not a pc gamer, so i dont have experience with this sort of thing. I can only view it as a jaded console gamer. We dont catch breaks usually.
  8. Here's the Youtube version for those who are avoiding Kotaku. Its looking fantastic. Looks like a real Assassin's Creed game. Two things about it bug me though: all the quotes about it "looking" good. I hate when games and films do that. Dont quote shit til its actually out and got reviewed. And the other is that this all looks like real actual gameplay, but theyre using cinematic camera angles. That can be misleading. They need to show some real actual gameplay with the HUD and everything. I am confident that it is exactly what it looks like. Ubisoft has its flaws, but I never thought of them as a company that "fakes" trailers. BTW, this is would be perfect for a bundle. Id love to get AC3 and Liberation for a few(10 or 20 probably) bucks more. Id jizz.
  9. Motorstorm RC is free on the Vita though. They sell tons of dlc for it. Wipeout HD is an older game and transferring the dlc i felt was a way to sell dlc and at the same time promote Wipeout 2048. Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 does a similar thing where dlc is usable on both PS3 and Vita versions. But that's an older game too. It came out on the PS, then on Vita. I just find it hard to believe that someday 2 brand spankin' new games will be bundled together for the cost of one. I just can't see it. Its a lost sale. Technically its the same game, but if people already do buy 2 versions of the same game, its going to be hard to go back to only buying one and getting both. Plus, the whole "same game should be played anywhere on anything because you bought it once" is a slippery slope I try not to get into. If that olive branch wants to be extended to us, I am all for it, but if its not I still understand why.
  10. I know everyone shits on it for being broken, but I actually thought the game was a lot of fun. Ill definitely get this on the Vita since I already sold my PS3 version a while ago. Since Im not good with currency stuff, this gets a bit confusing to me: "The game can be purchased in three forms. On its own as a PSN download, you'll have to pay ¥3,400. The PSN download bundled with the PS3 add-on character pack (which adds the Vita version's characters to the PS3 version) will cost ¥4,400. The game's retail version comes bundled with the PS3 character pack by default and costs ¥4,990. The retail version also includes as a first print run bonus an arrange costume pack." Either the PSN version will be cheaper than retail WITHOUT the PS3 character add-on dlc(probably 35 bucks) and the retail version with the dlc will be regular priced(40 bucks in the US), or the PSN version will be regular priced(40 dollars) and the retail will be more expensive than regular Vita games(50 like Uncharted). I really doubt thats the case, even for Capcom, but Im curious to see what's up.
  11. I really don't have a solution for things like these. Portal 2 did it with the PS3 version having a PC voucher in it for free, but Steam is a whole different thing. I think retailers kind of screw everything up, it's a problem Steam and a lot of digital only PC games don't have. They don't have to take shit from Gamestop or anyone else. If they want to sell their game for a dollar or for five cents, they can do it. To be honest, I wouldnt be above buying a bundle game for 60, then selling the version I didn't really want. If there's money to be made that way anyways. Sony and consoles who strive for this sort of thing have to think of an incentive for people to keep 2 copies of their game. More than just you know, being able to play the same game on 2 consoles.
  12. I can see bundles for maybe $80. Nothing lower though. And it would absolutely positively have to be dlc for the Vita version. You probably wouldnt get a box and cart for it. I wouldnt mind that at all. Even if I didnt want the PS3 version, id probably get it anyways just because. $70 would be ideal though. And if Sony ever decided to do to the PS3 what they do with the Vita, which is release digital and retail games on the same day, a $60 bundle would also work, if only for them to get people's money directly without retailers. But id assume the retailers wouldnt like that. I also imagine thats why digital sales on PSN and XBL dont happen often or dont go lower than usual. They still have to please the retailers who carry their consoles.
  13. I don't think 10 million is enough to develop a time machine. And if I did build one, Id probably drop that plan and do other cooler stuff. Probably kill one of the Roosevelts. Or just cripple the one that wasn't crippled.
  14. Fuck, I stopped playing P3 like a week ago. Its almost impossible for me to get back into a game when I havent played it that long. I also cant start again from the beginning some other time when P4 is on the horizon. Dear God...
  15. Id assassinate the president. Which one? I havent decided...
  16. JUNE 2012 PSN TOP 10 SELLERS 1. METAL GEAR SOLID: HD COLLECTION 2. Gravity Rush 3. Table Top Tanks 4. Pure Chess 5. Escape Plan 6. PulzAR 7. Resistance: Burning Skies 8. The Pinball Arcade 9. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 10. Plants vs. Zombies http://blog.us.plays...powerful-spell/ It's sad that people bought the MGS HD Collection more than Gravity Rush, but the number 2 spot is very good for a new game. It's strange that the Vita version of the MGS HD Collection is something a lot of stores didnt stock or only had 1 or 2 copies, but it sold the most this month on PSN. I didnt see this selling either though. I wonder what the actual numbers are, but I dont think Sony ever releases that information. It's also strange that one of the big negatives non-Vita owners have is that they DON'T want console ports on a handheld console. Apparently a lot of people do. Sure, maybe it's because the Vita has "no games" and ports is all we got, or maybe people do actually want to play console games on the go. Personally, I do like console ports on a handheld. I bought the MGS HD Collection and I dont regret it for a second. If I get that Sony Smash Bros. game ill probably get it on the Vita too.
  17. Yeah I figured. Its weird because Im used to seeing Batman fight guys in fedoras like in the animated series, so I always place young Batman somewhere between the 1950s and 1970s, though the animated series takes place in a really noir old fashioned 1990s Gotham. But now Arkham City and Nolan Batman are in their 30s and possibly early 40s, so their youth was in the 1980s, which coincidentally is Burton's Batman's present. Nolan's Batman doesn't even become Batman til after the year 2000. I dont read the comics, but I always figured he'd start a lot earlier. A young Batman fighting 1980s criminals weirds me out is all Im saying. He probably listens to Cyndi Lauper in his Batmobile and shit. There's just nothing cool about it. An older Batman fighting 1980s criminals is cool though cus 1980s criminals deserve to get their ass beat by the older generation. Im not sure where im going with this, so Ill stop.
  18. I'm not quite understanding the timeline now. It cant take place in the 1950s(Silver Age) because AA and AC take place in the present and Batman isnt 70 years old. I'm assuming the 1980s? Better get Rob Liefeld on it then.
  19. I'm...not sure. Im just surprised no ones found a reason to be offended by it yet.
  20. I find that kind of offensive in a way. Well, im not offended by it, but im kind of surprised others arent.
  21. MGS4 is getting trophies after 4 years. It seems counterproductive after MGO just went offline a few weeks ago. This could also be a sign of bigger things - a new better version of MGS4 or even a 360/Vita/PC port.

Sega is basically dead at this point, so there will never be a trophy patch for VC.

PW wasnt included because an "HD" version of it would take enough space to have to use a new larger capacity cartridge, which are a bit more expensive than the regular. Remember when RE Revelations was 50 bucks because it needed a bigger cart on the 3DS? Im guessing they want to avoid that.

Other than that, they just want to sell the PSP version.

  22. Really? I can't say I remember any film doing that. Every time there are characters who speak a different language they either speak it and the film uses subtitles or the character conveniently also know English, but with an accent. I'm sure it exists though. Like everything else, konima probably got the idea from a film.
  23. Funny little detail I learned years after the game came out, but they're actually all speaking Russian. Stuff like the codec calls are obviously english and probably some of the conversations with the Boss and Ocelot, but when Snake talks to people like Sokolov or Granin, he's speaking Russian, but we hear it in English. That's why they don't even have accents. The funny thing is that it's only pointed out once. Sokolov actually tells Snake that his Russian is excellent during the Virtuous Mission. Yet there is absolutely no Russian being spoken.

  25. 10 million isn't really a lot nowadays, so it's not spaceship or bigass mansion money. But with 10 million... Id buy my mom a small 2 or 3 room house and pay her bills and stuff. Id give a few grand to some of my friends to help them out with whatever. Ive always wanted to own my own bar, so Id do that. Itd be small too, nothing huge and it would be brutally specific to what I like, so itd be very unsuccessful. Id donate tons of money to local animal adoption centers. Id get liposuction, like all the time. And finally, Id get a 5 room house with extremely high ceilings. A theater room, 2 bedrooms, a soundproof music room, and a "mancave", Also, the living room, kitchen and dining room would have an exact duplicate of every piece of furniture glued to the ceiling, so it'd be like a mirror, except it wouldn't. If I had a mansion id do it for every room. Then whatever is left Id save. But im convinced Id go broke. No one has ever stayed wealthy by doing good deeds. I didn't get rich by writing a lot of checks!
