The Gilroy Garlic Festival was huge. One stage area for concerts. Another stage for cooking demos. A good 50 or so food booths. And the usual festival sites. The only drawback was the heat. And it was only in the low 80's, but felt hotter in the summer sun.

Show up at opening. It gets hot and lines get long. And lots of garlic foods. We started with garlic fries, which originated there in the Bay Area. You can now find them at most every stadium. And, yes, garlic ice cream is good. Tastes like vanilla with a slight garlic note. Yum!!

Dude, I am such a huge fan of garlic that it's ridiculous. Totally wish that something like that was in my area.

This country has 2 garlic festivals. There is also one on the east coast. Though, I believe it is no where near the magnitude of this one.
