  1. But not underweight. $27 bedvframe. Fat Chewie. Taking bets over/under bets on the bedframe lasting a week. IT'S TWENTY SEVEN BECAUSE IT'S FROM COSTCO. It's $27 because it's a POS sold at CostCo. Tubs.
  2. But not underweight. $27 bed frame. Fat Chewie. Taking bets over/under bets on the bedframe lasting a week.
  3. From earlier, with Six, the last two matches: Match 6: Match 7:
  4. No worries, I'm honestly just worried about Brain getting any fights in at this point... Also, Omni beats Duke 5-1. GG Duke. Standings updated shortly.
  5. Omni beats Six 5-2. GG Six, I almost let that one get away from me early. Standings updated shortly, I'll edit this post with video links (thanks, Six) when they are done. Match 1: Match 2: Match 3: Match 4: Match5:
  6. The above edited standings reflect the latest updates. Johnny has removed himself from the league. Also, I'd suggest that Brain and myself get a move on with some matches.
  7. Standings post, to be edited with updates as they come in:
  8. The rules on character changing need correction/clarification: During a round-robin set, both players will use the character they selected at the beginning of that set, for the duration of that set. There is no obligation to play a particular character for the duration of the two-week round robin period, just finish each FT5 with the character you chose at the beginning of that particular FT5. For the tournament, you must use your chosen character for the duration of a set. Only when you have lost the previous set, can you change your character. The winner of the previous set may not change characters at this time. For example, Omni plays Six in the tournament. Six plays Q and wins the first set 2-0 in a walkover of Omni's Ryu. Before beginning the second set, Omni can change his character - let's say he picks Urien. Six must remain playing Q in the next set. If Six (Q) were to now lose the second set to Omni (Urien), before the start of the third set, Six could change away from Q. Clear as mud?
  9. I've not played it much, but I'm fairly certain this game is tough for everyone. Pickier about inputs than any game I have played before (including Street Fighters), and absolutely hilarious to come to after a season of P4A. Gotta dust off those execution chops, I guess!
  10. I've never played this particular game, and my SF character of choice isn't in it, so... I'm ready! +1
  11. Congrats to Six! Good matches, Ark... I'm on your heels. Duke, you really improved when switching to Yu. I look forward to whatever we decide to do next. Cheers!
  12. Thursday at 8pm (CT?) does work for me.
  13. Preface: I didn't help to organize this with the intention of anyone ever becoming upset. At least three people were upset because communication failed. That's inexcusable; I own that, and it's my fault. I would like a better system to confirm time availability (suggestions are welcome), but it seems the best way is to do it here. Can everyone do 8pm CT on Wednesday? If not, toss out an idea, please.
  14. The tournament is going to need to be rescheduled, as Duke was unclear of the date and time. I am currently open all next week, outside of 4-5pm on Monday, 4-7pm ET on Saturday, and I am not available on Sunday. Duke is available after 9:15pm ET on Tuesdays and Thursdays, after 4pm ET on Monday and Wednesday, and all next weekend. UA and Six, please provide your availability in this thread.
  15. I'm down for whatever. I'm not the biggest fan of P4A, it has a few very annoying flaws, but I would play it again. I'd be down for any SF (though I've never played 3S, I would give it a go), or even Marvel (own it, haven't played it yet).
  16. The Challonge has been set up! http://challonge.com/pxodp4aseason1 I have enabled email reporting and the like, if you're willing to provide your email and sign up. If not, it's not a concern, you aren't obligated to getting a Challonge account, you can still view the results as they're posted. I have also enabled attachment linking. If we're able to save the matches and get them posted to say... YouTube, we can actually link the match video in the bracket. Pretty nifty feature, if you ask me. All that's left is the timing. I would vote for something around noon CT, but could go earlier if needed. Later might get dicey for me, as I have late afternoon obligations. And here's a bracket image that will update automatically as results are entered:
  17. To Ark: I had a pretty good strategy yesterday, shouldn't have changed it up so much today. That ONE DAMN THING is making me saltier than Hell, and you know which I mean. Also reporting results in Omni v Duke, Set 2: Omnimon winner, 5-1 Good match Duke, you were MUCH more competitive when you changed characters. Spreadsheet updated. All that's left is for Six to wipe the mat with me, and the Round Robin will be complete.
  18. Spreadsheet updated as of Six's last post. I'll be available later today for one set with each of you, if you'd like. Since we finally got this thing rolling and it's going to be fairly simple, I'm willing to extend Round Robin through 9/28 at let's say... 9pm CT? If you haven't completed your round robin matches by then, you will be tourney-seeded based upon your existing results. Is that fair? Also, we need to discuss what time we would like to hold the tourney on Saturday. I have dinner with my parents in the late afternoon and early evening. I know that may not jive with everyone's schedule, and if not, I'll forfeit rather than asking to reschedule. We should all talk on Steam or PXOD chat regarding these two items.
  19. I thought I might be able to pull it off, that was very close. A few tactical errors by me, especially at the end, and you did a good job of learning my tendencies. You know what that means... I need MORE tendencies, more variation, and I need to adapt more quickly. Very good match, Ark. Pass the salt shaker.
  20. Omni vs. Duke Part 1. Omni wins 5-2. Fun fights, Duke; I got lucky keeping you out a few times.
  21. I'll be looking to play my first sets starting Monday, second sets to follow. Sweep is B and D, right?
  22. Thank you, Six... for providing a roadmap of what not to post. It should have read: Six v Duke, Six wins 5-0. Then provide all the detail you want, just make my life easier for helping, please.
  23. This thread is created for the express purpose of maintaining news and results for the PXOD P4A League, Season 1. For details on how the league is being run, please refer to this thread: http://forum.pressxo...gue/#entry94281. Competitors for Season 1 are: myself (Omnimon), UnstableArk, DukeofPwn, and SixTwoSixFour. Week 1 of Season 1 (Round-Robin, 2xFT5) will run 9/19-9/26. Please record your results below making the following clear: the competitors, who won the match, and how many games the loser won. I will be editing this thread to include a spreadsheet/table (or Word paste, or Image paste, thereof) of results posted below. I will do my best to maintain the results display in a timely manner. If you notice I have fallen behind, it's probably because (somehow) I've been busy. Just nudge me online (Twitter, Steam, PXOD Chat, etc) and I'll update it. Week 2 of Season 1 (Tournament) will take place on Saturday, 9/29. Hour of start TBD. If there are any questions, please let me know. Good luck, and if you lose a game to me, I will heckle you. Fair warning. Live Tournament Bracket:
