I think my iPod Classic finally kicked the bucket. I guess 5 years is about their lifespan.

Do you still use it everyday, or as your main player? I still have mine from 2008 I think, 80gb 6th gen. I haven't used it though in 3 years? But last I checked it still holds a charge and no problems whatsoever. I just can't sell it, nobody wants it.

Use it probably 4 times a week, commuting and in the car.

Luft: I do believe so as they're the same size. I can't remember if the HDD is thicker or not. Worst comes to worse you order a new back plate (insanely easy to replace as it's part of the process you'd be doing anyways) or salvage a friends.
