How the series works? I can give it a go. Most SMT games barring the two most recent Persona games and the DDS series revolve around recruiting and fusing demons, usually through negotiation. Other than that they're pretty straightforward, if difficult, JRPG's. Fair amount of combat and some can be a little grindy. As far as spin offs and such there's the 4 mainline SMT Games (Plus Strange Journey on the DS which was originally intended to be SMT4). The Persona series which is pretty well known, the Devil Summoner series which is two Saturn games (and some modern remakes) and two PS2 games. These games are of course about Devil Summoners, shadowy organizations and eventually time travel. The two PS2 games take place in 1920's Tokyo and are super stylish. There's the two Digital Devil Saga games for PS2 which I recommend if only because they play similar to the main line games but don't have recruitment and aren't as hard. Good entry point if you can find them. Takes place in a post apocalypse setting where warring tribes fight to ascend to Nirvana before they all get turned into Demons. There's the Devil Survivor series on the DS/3DS. They're kind've FF tactics style SRPGs but I haven't played them so I don't have much to say. There's a few other spin offs like Demi kids and Maijin Tensei but they're not great or super relevant anymore so... Catherine has a few tie ins SMT as well =D And while there is a timeline that ties most of the games together it's super unimportant. The only real ties are stylistic and atmospheric, along with the carrying over of demon design.

As someone who hasn't played either, does infinite have any tie ins to either of the System Shock games? Just curious
-
Hmm, Neostarr's summation of the ending was pretty good. Also, Dean. BOOKER. B-O-O-K-E-R. Single R

So I just beat Infinite. I am confused as fuck, but very intrigued. .

Persona 4 Golden, finally beat it. One of my favourite games of all time. Golden adds so much to it.

No Gameboy love in here? I never had a NES, little young to have had one, but there's so many good chiptunes on the gameboy. The first level of Super Mario Land is one of my favorite pieces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_-HvB3zbC4 The intro to this little known GBC F1 game is also awesome.

Damn, took me 13 hours with 64% trophies =/. I still don't think I've got the hang of the controls for that game, even after two palythroughs. Don't think I could ever do it with no kills.

I figured since It's been so long since I posted a picture here and as I'd like (for probably the 10th time, but it'll happen this time, I swear) to stick around here more, I should probably post a new one, circa Christmas.

Ahh ok, how did I not know that before? Fingers crossed that I'll have enough money for a Eurogamer/Meet People trip but it's not looking incredibly likely at the moment

Dex, have you actually met Excel? I've always wondered if any Forumies had met each other. Really hope I can come out to the Isles and meet some of you at some point. I'd hardly call them resolution, more just goals but: 1. Try to graduate with all A's. Only one course I've got a B in right now, and next semester the courses are even easier, so just need to work on Biology here. 2. Go to post secondary school. Looking at a number of Colleges and Uni's in Vancouver at the moment, particularly the Vancouver Art Institute and Vancouver Film School. Fingers crossed. 3. Get in shape. I've probably told some of you before that I'm not really out of shape, I'm 6'4 and 150 pounds, but I'm weak as shit, so just trying to do a few pushups/situps every day and maybe get a little more toning. 4. Learn to Snowboard/Ski. Tried snowboarding for the first time last year (Which is odd as I used to live an hour away from a world famous mountain range.) While I think my feet may be too big for boarding it was still tons of fun and skiing should give me more luck as feet are forward of course, not sideways. 5. Learn to make chiptunes. Using some of my Xmas money I've bought myself an old GBC and a copy of LSDJ, a popular program for making chiptunes. Currently in the mail but I'm really looking forward to learning how to use it and hopefully write some kick ass music! 6. Obligatory get a girlfriend. Finally started giving more of a shit about my appearance and the way I act around others last year and it's clearly paid off very well so far. Hoping to continue this into the new year and finally try this whole thing out. Hmm, before writing this I didn't really think I was very ambitious but damn, typing that all out has got me pumped for this year! =D

With Vita games being on cards do they contain internal memory for saves? Or does the Vita itself? It'd be nice to be able to wait a little while before picking up a card, soften the blow to my wallet some.

How on Earth did you Platinum 3? Did you use a guide for the Kerotans? How many resets did it take? (Isn't there a trophy for never being seen once?)

I think Dean and I share fairly similar views, and he's summed them up fairly well but just thinking about the idea has reminded me of kids cartoons. Now this may just be a Canada thing, I'm not sure, but a lot of Canadian made cartoons go out of their way to be inclusive. Many shows will have be sure to include an even number of males and females, at least one white kid, black kid, Asian kid, middle eastern kid, and occasionally a French Canadian kid, not to mention a large number of them include a wheelchair bound kid. And again, these are kids shows so we're not exactly talking about the pinnacle of characterization here but even when I was young this stuck out to me as weird, you could tell they had been forced in their for the sole purpose of representation and it felt off. I think a big chuck of it simply comes from the age and maturity of games, we're simply too young as a medium. We're still busy exploring the possibilities and I feel that tackling these social issues would be better tackled by a more mature medium such as film until such a time in the future when games are prepared to take on such a challenge. I mean even Catherine (Granted it's Atlus so perhaps this should be taken with a grain of salt) couldn't see a heterosexual relationship through all the way, deciding instead to use the huge copout . For a game who's marketing largely centered around games taking a more serious look at relationships and sex, to not even able to see that through...we're just not ready.
