There's a petition to pardon Alan Turing for being gay after saving us in WWII. Little difference now, but I can see no reason not to grant it. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-16061279

The article said Gordon Brown issued an apology, but now they're seeking a pardon.

Yes, he issued an apology, which as far as I can tell is as good as it'll get this far down the road. A pardon wouldn't really do anything, but then if people are asking for it, I'd give it to them. Who would really slam him for that, after what Turing did for the whole Allied side?

Also, I could totally see a prog-rock group or something called "The Manchester Small-Scale Experimental Machine."
