    Correct me if I'm wrong, and I'm almost sure I'm wrong, but is the reason lesbians is not as socially frowned upon in western societies because they're largely boys clubs?

      What Fuchi said. I think it's because men are more insecure about their sexuality than women so women good, even gay ones, but gay men are bad because OMG! I could be turned! Or something to that effect.
