  1. So uhhhh... the warranty people damaged my computer so much trying to repair it they're paying me back via Amazon credit. Any suggestions in the $800-1000 dollar range in amazon? I was thinking of going with an Asus again.

      It's program independent. Some close when you close the window and some don't. If the file menu is too complicated a right click on the dock accomplishes the same thing. Though in most cases you shouldn't need to close the application itself since unused RAM is wasted RAM. That's why I brought up Android.

      I don't think the file menu is too complicated, I was just wondering since you said it works the same as Windows (where nearly all programs close when you hit the x).

       

      I don't disagree about unused RAM, the issue when I was in high school was that those computers were really old and shitty, and they would quickly fill up their ram and start running like ass if you didn't make sure to actually exit each program when you were done.
