      Also, FLAC is pretty much pointless for car audio as the car is such a shitty place to listen to music. The level of wind/outdoor noise, and the fact that you're sitting onto one side of the vehicle, means it's not going to sound great no matter what you do.

      AFAIK iPods do support lossless. ALAC though, not FLAC.

      There's nothing convenient about the iTunes store. Unless you only ever plan to use Apple products in the future.
