It doesn't, really. If you adjust the difficult way up with idols, some strategy is advised. Otherwise, it largely remains a hack/slash. I'm also going to echo the other sentiment in the quote - I really didn't like the "adaptive narration" or whatever it is they referred to it as. Primarily because I don't require (or really appreciate) a narrator telling me what I just did, but also because I really don't care for this specific narrator to begin with. It just felt... way too forced.
