I was having fun, killing everything on Expert difficulty, when Belial suddenly covered the whole fucking floor with green pools and I had nowhere else to go. Died twice so I looked up what that shit was, and it turns out it's the Enrage mechanic.

That is such a stupid mechanic. Hopefully that's the worst one. I don't want to lower the difficulty on boss fights. I never had any problems with anyone except for that...
