shinies are random chance, yeah. but red Gyarados is still a shiny. Gyarados' shiny sprite is red. they just made a shiny Gyarados part of the storyline and made it so that it would always be shiny when you go to battle him. shiny Pokemon have been in the games since the 2nd generation.

I thought I had to press LB/RB/LT/RT when I had the beard mannequin selected not while just standing there. also aren't I supposed to be able to view the quest list at the map table by pressing Y? because it's not giving me the option. or I do have to progress a little more before that'll show up?

so I started playing Fable 3 the other day and I'm at the part early on where you have to get the mercenary disguise. I have everything for it but when I go to the Sanctuary I keep being told to put the tattoo while there's no tattoo showing up, only the beard. and it won't let me leave once I'm in there. I tried restarting but it's just the same thing over again. is there something wrong with my game?

Islanders beat the Penguins tonight, 2-1 in the shootout. DP looked sharp in net AND Crosby's streak was shut down. the only bad thing is that I missed about half the game because I went out to dinner with my family for my younger sisters' birthday. @Red Wings this Friday.

another thing I forgot to mention. I don't have a gold XBL account and don't even like playing multiplayer so I really have no idea why I bought WFC at $60. that part is my fault yeah, but still...the single player, while kind of fun, could've been waaaay better.

this. and Transformers: War For Cybertron. not really a bad game, just wished I had waited to buy it at a cheaper-not-full-price...price and picked up something else instead. oh and also Scribblenauts. it was fun for a little while and the concept is pretty cool, but I just can't play it more than maybe 15min before wanting to do something else. this and Prototype were gifts though so...that eases the disappointment.

Isles were outscored 7-2 and outshot about 52-20. 1st period certaintly didn't look as bad as the rest of the game, but after that they just...shut down. it was horrible. vs the Penguins this Wednesday. hopefully the Islanders will be able to bounce back from this and play hard against 'em and get a win. I don't think I have any second favorites yet.

which seems strange, considering that as of Gen 4 you can trade and battle over Wi-Fi now with anyone in the world anyway. I'd like the main series to stay on the handhelds, but I wouldn't mind a 3D spin-off game for the Wii other than just a PBR/Colosseum type deal.
