  4. so... wait, i mean, i get the defense of yr beliefs and all but this seems to only be defending against ppl who are saying religion isn't valid cos their lives suck? no? because i'm not really a fan of organized religion and it has absolutely nothing to do with the way my life has or has not gone.
  5. i know they mean different things, but they sound the same. so i was saying i'd heard a similar word in a different context used, but not the one he was saying.

yeah, that's pretty much it is anything that was filmed via telecine technology isn't able to be restored in all of it's amazing beauty cos there are no negatives is my understanding. i'm going to assume you know this more than i do.

oh and yeah, sadly films made before 1952 were filmed on highly flammable nitrate film that eventually turns into a puddle of vinegar. :-( It's by sheer luck that several films still exist. The best looking silent era film I've ever seen is 1929's City Girl. The UK Blu-Ray release is stunning! Ironically while the film exists fully restored, the synchronized soundtrack (on a record) is most likely lost forever.

Yeah slithy there's a limit on status updates :P

As for Blu-Ray/DVD/film transfers, photographic films has a theoretically infinite resolution. Can push it up to 4K if you wanted. The problem is grain. And whether your views want it cleaning up, or authenticity keeping.

  11. if you increase fiber please also make sure to increase water. trust me.
  12. the amount that i cried at the end of crisis core, even to i "knew" what was going to happen at the end i swear someone should have won something. esp because the gameplay was bad....

  16. but isn't getting injured doing something totes awesome that you like way better than getting injured forcing yrself to jog cos you feel like you need cardio? another reason to find something you dig and go for it imo.
  17. when i started doing yoga when i couldn't take classes i like literally had to keep it to like 10 minutes a day at first or i totes wouldn't do it, then i would feel guilty about not doing it and then skip it for like 2 weeks before getting back into it. so i told myself doing something at all was way better than doing it one day for an hour and then not again for a couple weeks after that, and to this day even when i can't or don't workout cos of other things i still do my 10 minutes of yoga.
  18. i can't really recommend any losing weight tips but i can give you some staying healthy tips. i have to do gym type stuff cos i commute, so there isn't a whole lot i can do about maintaining a consistently pedestrian lifestyle besides moving, and having a gym at work helps but if you find something you like doing and that actually challenges you more than just physically (for me it's yoga and dancing, probs not yr cup of tea but hiking, rocking climbing, martial arts etc.) yr more likely to stick w/ it. as for eating if i think about the word diet i immediately start to eat more, i'm so much of a fucking rebel i even rebel against myself, so usually i just pay attention to how i feel and if i start feeling crappy or lethargic i eat less or eat different stuff or otherwise change it up. i actually just started losing the whole shit-ton of weight i gained when i quit smoking (according to my doctor it did something to my hormones or something and was compounded by some meds i was on that i stopped taking) but actually losing that weight that felt like it was never ever going to come off at this point kinda kick started me back into healthier habits again so setting some kind of goals and hitting them helps. cos progress totes compels you to go further.

  21. yeah, the first two are p sweet on psp but they're like super mega old school grindy/difficult still so unless yr looking for a NES-like experience prettied up a bit the DS remake of IV or PS1 port of V&VI would probably be where you'd want to start w/ the older ones.
  22. it's an amazing little rpg machine. good final fantasies, good personas and good remakes of the first two star oceans. loads of other rpgs too, but i'd need to know yr tastes really to recommend more.
